Aren’t you late for the obvious awards? 🤣
- Comment on Hanson casts One Nation as rising anti-establishment force in protest-hit Press Club speech 4 days ago:
Wtf is a sky news employee doing hosting a press club speech???
- Comment on Seems very topical with the rise of One Nation 1 week ago:
A non-existent or defective one would match better…
- Comment on Discussion/change my mind: There are almost no examples where privatisation has been a net good* 2 weeks ago:
It should always have been much, much more difficult for sitting governments to sell off public assets.
- Comment on The 'death tax' debate is back. So what do Australians really pay when they die? 4 weeks ago:
I’m fine with taxing inherited wealth. Why should my landlord’s kids be my kid’s landlords by default?
- Comment on One Nation's popularity is rising. Which Australians are supporting the party and why? 4 weeks ago:
Dipshits, because they’re dipshits.
- Comment on The seven-word reality check in Anthony Albanese's address to the nation 2 months ago:
I was expecting one of the quotes about Aussies being decent, caring people who will pull together and do the right thing. Proof that Albo doesn’t get out much.
- Comment on Fuel shortages set to drive up food prices across Australia 2 months ago:
I wouldn’t worry about it too much, when the global famines start in a year or two we’ll all be dreaming of a time when food was only too expensive.
- Comment on Carney constructs a mega anti-Trump trade alliance 3 months ago:
I’d support any initiative that strengthens our relationship with the EU and puts distance between us and the US. The EU is of course far from perfect, but they seem to be the closest thing to a sane global power these days. It’s past time for all countries to decide whether they’re going to prioritise human rights and stability, or the whims of oligarchs, because the two seem to be mutually exclusive.
- Comment on The Current Situation (Sorry Americans) 4 months ago:
Good point. I guess I’m a little biased, having lived in the states through the Obama years when US republicans really took the mask off, now I’m (thankfully) back here with my American wife and US-born kids, so I’m a little bit more attuned to what’s happening over there than the average Aussie. It really chaps my ass when some “enlightened” Australian drops a “well trump is doing a good job on (random thing) at least.” No Sharon, trump isn’t doing, and hasn’t done, a good job on literally anything and may already have ended the global rules based order.
- Comment on The Current Situation (Sorry Americans) 4 months ago:
Honestly, I wish more Aussies would learn about what’s happening in America, then maybe one nation wouldn’t be surging in the polls right now.
- Comment on Scathing ‘jobs for mates’ review finds appointments to government boards routinely abused 6 months ago:
Anyone else shocked? I’ve personally witnessed some absolutely shameful mangerial incompetence that was a direct result of nepotism in public-adjacent (contractors) companies. I mean absolutely clueless idiots responsible for the safety and well-being of hundreds of employees, just handed their positions because of who they were mates with.
- Comment on Are we all suffering from "future shock" in 2025? 9 months ago:
A lot of people are struggling with that realisation. My wife has always been extremely close with her 2 sisters and mother, and they all voted trump last year. She’s had a very hard time with it, but she’s kind of at the point now where she’s severed a lot of her connection to them. She’s just being polite to them at this point.

I remember one time I ran out of deodorant and had to use my wife’s. The whole day at work every now and again I’d catch a whiff of myself and my lizard brain would shriek WOMAN!!! until I realised it was just me.

I was going to sign up a couple of years ago for the same reason - marketplace - but they wanted a picture selfie then and that was enough to stop me.

Well now hang on a second there, buckaroo! There was that time when he worked for 6 days straight! And let’s not forget the time Jesus died - well, for a few days anyway, before he got bored and wandered off - so that God could forgive us for existing after he created us! And then don’t forget the… wait, I’m sure there must be something else… anyway, for all that stuff, you have to be eternally grateful and heap praise on him and grovel on your knees for all eternity. Enjoy your free will!

Supermax - be a serious threat to society Regular - be a poor criminal Club fed - be a rich criminal

It wasn’t a nazi salute, he was just waving
- Comment on Are we all suffering from "future shock" in 2025? 1 year ago:
Nobody’s suggesting it wasn’t. But a lot of us have lived our whole lives with the idea that racism was generally frowned upon by most and that it was naturally dying out. I don’t think many of us could have predicted how readily it would come roaring back, along with god damn nazis, FFS.

3 times as fast as 100? I don’t know what you’re expecting here. It’s 83.3 metres per second, if that helps. Your friend must have a nice car, there’s not many that can go that fast, and even fewer that can do it and still handle predictably.
- Comment on Trump puts tariffs of at least 10pc on imports, including from Australia 1 year ago:
*Australia says it would prefer to work through a dispute settlement process *
Fuck that. You can’t negotiate with an unhinged imbecile who changes his mind depending on who was the last person who spoke to him. Every world leader who bows down to trump just makes him worse.
- Comment on Legalise Cannabis Party 2025 1 year ago:
Believe me I will. But I’ll put a socialist, green, or certain independent candidate first.
- Comment on Legalise Cannabis Party 2025 1 year ago:
I wish that we had so few problems I could vote on this single issue, but stopping any Australian version of maga needs to be priority number 1, and then about 50 other things before legal weed. Honestly, it’s not hard or expensive to get a prescription, you can do it all over the phone.
- Comment on ‘A female Donald Trump’: how Gina Rinehart is pushing the Maga message in Australia 1 year ago:
It’s shocking how many maga wannabes we have in this country. If you’re thinking of voting along those lines, please don’t. Don’t believe anything they promise you. They’ll say anything, and when they have control they’ll absolutely fuck the working class to make the rich as rich as possible. Just look at what’s happening in America right now. If you’re not comfortably living off the returns on your vast wealth, or you have any sort of integrity, Rinehart and co have nothing good for you.
