- Comment on Nexus Mods cross-platform app v0.11.1 brings full Cyberpunk 2077 support for Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck 3 days ago:
The new Nexus Mods App runs quite nice on linux. I’ve only tested it with Bannerlord as that’s the only game I own out of the 4 ones being tested currently and unfortunately it doesn’t launch directly from the app, but it does correctly deploy the mods, so after one has added the mods, one can launch the game from a preferred launcher like steam or heroic games launcher and it works.
- Comment on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition is out now, needs a workaround on Linux 3 days ago:
All 3 titles are getting review bombed on steam currently, apparently it’s a low-res blurry mess.

You’re a stinky cheese fella aren’t you?
Well, I am dairy man, so I’ve seen, smelled and tasted a lot of funky stuff.
- Comment on who are you? 1 week ago:
In rare cases white mold cheese will taste like blue mold cheese because of cross contamination, but that’s about the only defect I’ve experienced buying cheese close to their expiration dates. Oh, and camembert cheeses being a bit too runny and ammonia tasting, but as a sicko I kind of like that.
- Comment on who are you? 1 week ago:
Let me put it this way: They print expiration dates on SALT.
Now, it’s pretty convenient that stores here in Denmark sell products cheaper just before they “expire” because certain products actually get better with time like cheese. - Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
I’m going to miss Denise Gough, Elizabeth Dulau, Robert Emms and Stellan Skarsgård. Besides the excellent writing, they were the reason I really enjoyed Andor. 7/10
I binged Glitch. It really had potential, and some fine actors, some good backstories for the characters, but the story and drama was just not good enough put together. Annoyingly it also left a lot of unanswered questions. 5/10
I’m going to give Upright a chance. There’s something about Tim Minchin I don’t like. Magician type, black nail polish, eyeliner wearing 44 year old self-inserting himself into a show with a 19 year old woman, ehh, it feels off. But I’m hoping to be proven wrong, the score on IMDb seems to suggest it’s not bad writing at least.
- Comment on ‘Fallout’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer | Prime Video 1 week ago:
There’s half a year until season 2 premieres. I think I’ll wait with the teaser for another 5 months.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Having watched Glitch now, I can see what you mean. I can’t bring myself to give this more than 6/10, and I’m considering lowering it. It reminded me a bit of “The Leftovers” for some reason, just with worse writing.
- Comment on Fallout TV Show Could Run for Six Seasons Says Aaron Moten 1 week ago:
To be honest I don’t even remember exactly how S1 ended
If you get around to a rewatch, keep the credits running, in many of the episodes there’s a nice teaser for the upcoming episode, and the season finale outro teaser rolls into Vegas where one can see broken securitrons.
- Comment on Fallout TV Show Could Run for Six Seasons Says Aaron Moten 1 week ago:
It has to do with the years in the games and the show lining up, like why would Vegas look trashed like it does in the show season 1 finale outro if it takes place before F:NV? Mr. House saved Vegas after all. But we’ll see what the show does soon enough.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Yeah, classic IMDb not correct genres. I’ve seen first season already and a few episodes of season 2. I thought season 1 was quite messy, most of the drama came from very bad and lacking communication, like they’d exchage 3 sentences to each other and then race off. Like herding kittens lol.
Second season is much better.
I like how the “villains” have this information suck ability, it’s like the opposite of bad communication. Interesting.
- Comment on Fallout TV Show Could Run for Six Seasons Says Aaron Moten 1 week ago:
I’m a bit worried about the upcoming New Vegas season. Like many speculated due to the outro of season, it’s possible they plan on retconning Obsidians version of Fallout, so depending on how they handle that, maybe it’ll be nice to have a show stay on for that many seasons. Either way, looking forward to more Ella Purnell - what a star.
- Comment on ‘Massive’ increase in pensioner shoplifters in past year 1 week ago:
He added: “Retailers don’t tend to involve the police when they’re dealing with pensioners. Stores tend to want to handle it on their own.
“It’s not good publicity for a supermarket if it got out that a pensioner had been handed over to the police for shoplifting.”
Sounds like the numbers could be higher then, if it’s not getting reported.

But at least UK is free of the EU bureaucracy

Yeah, we’re no longer living in the golden days of TV-shows, there sure are few quality shows and far between them.

I’m usually not a horror fan, but I do like me a good Aussie/Kiwi show, so I’ll definitely give it a go.

- Comment on What are you watching and, what do you recommend this week? 2 weeks ago:
Recently I’ve binged “Common Side Effects” which is yet another Mike Judge banger. I’m not sure if there’s a season 2 planned, but season 1 can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone with how it ends.
A show I was recommended randomly was “The Eternaut”. It’s a 6 episode Argentinian Netflix show based on some pretty old comic books. The series is excellent “War of the worlds” style scifi. It has been renewed for season 2.
I don’t know too much about Argentina, but the author was half German and he was part of the Montoneros guerilla movement when the military junta was in power in the 70s, so that’s a whole rabbit hole one can go down - very interesting. - Comment on What are you watching and, what do you recommend this week? 2 weeks ago:
Killjoys
I looked through some of the film stills on IMDb for Killjoys and it was kinda fun to recognize so many faces from The Expanse.
@thejoker954@lemmy.world mentioned The Eternaut, and you look like you enjoy good tv-scifi, so you might want to consider giving that a go as well. - Comment on Netflix Renews Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Series 'The Eternaut' for Season 2 2 weeks ago:
I would’ve been shocked if they didn’t give this a season 2. It’s the best original scifi I’ve seen this year. I know its source material is old, but they really did the best job they could with a budget of just $15 million.
- Comment on Netflix Renews Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Series 'The Eternaut' for Season 2 2 weeks ago:
Have you watched “Common Side Effects”? It’s an Adult Swim show by Mike Judge which has a bit of conspiracy theme to it.
- Comment on Netflix Renews Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Series 'The Eternaut' for Season 2 2 weeks ago:
Season 1 is only 6 episodes and it ends on a cliffhanger
when Salvo realizes what his dreams/visions mean.
- Comment on Netflix Renews Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Series 'The Eternaut' for Season 2 2 weeks ago:
I gave it 8 out of 10. I really enjoyed the pacing.
If you’re into “War of the worlds”-armageddon style scifi, this is definitely worth a watch. It has English dub, but I always recommend people watch it in the original language with subtitles, so that could be a drawback I guess. - Comment on Poisonous Frogs with Ants in their Pants 2 weeks ago:

For comparison I recently deleted my NordVPN account and it was instant. - Comment on HBO Boss Insists 'Harry Potter' Show Will Not Contain J.K. Rowling's Anti-Trans Views 3 weeks ago:
