And just to hammer it home that infidelity is wrong, I’m surprised the studio didn’t go with an ending where Bogart got hit by that German and covered up that he was bleeding with that big trench coat, only to collapse after the plane had taken off. Eh, it only lasted for a few hours, then I updated the ublock origin filters and things were back to normal. In the meanwhile I just streamed youtube videos via a media player that had builtin yt-dlp (smplayer) support.

Reminder for beltalowda: Telltale, as it rose from its grave, the first game they released upon returning from the dead was “The Expanse: A Telltale Series”, a prequel story about Drummer (who is voiced by Cara Gee).

I kind of get the impression that the writers watched Ghost in the Shell at one point. Not that it’s and incredibly unique trope to transfer human consciousness to a robot I guess, but it does remind me of the Major from GitS. And I quite like the idea.
The trailer looks amazing, but having just watched Alien: Romulus the gestation period for xenomorphs is just so fast that if they ever landed on earth I get the feeling that it’d be game over (man) in a matter of weeks or months, so I can’t wait to see the show and figure out how they handle that ‘mechanic’. - Submitted 1 week ago to Television@lemm.ee | 7 comments

I guess that’s pretty cool. What would be even cooler was client side control of the multitrack audio sources. Would be amazing if each viewer could control the volume of each audio source broadcast from the OBS streamer. Imagine being able to control the volume of the game shown or turn up the volume of the streamer, or turn down the volume of the music etc.

I just watched Casablanca for the first time a couple of days ago, and as someone that hates smoking, I just don’t get how it came to be everywhere back in the day. Ingrid Bergman is probably the only non-smoker in the entire movie! Both her (breast, 69) and Humphrey Bogart (esophageal, 57) died of cancer.
Growing up with two smoking parents that’d both gladly hotbox their kids, my brother and I, when we drove anywhere was just awful. I really don’t get how you can do that to other people without feeling ashamed. - Comment on Anon saved Portugal last month 2 weeks ago:

Ole Thestrup was such a good comedic actor for many of the same movies, his deliveries were so friggin’ funny. It’s a shame this clip doesn’t have subtitles, but it starts out with the scene you mention.

I always found it funny how Mads Mikkelsen became big in Hollywood movies as a serious actor when most of his work prior (exception being the Pusher movies) had been Danish dark comedies. And "The Green Butchers" is one of those. I remember quoting it quite a bit like "I smoke between 15 and 20 joints a day, I wouldn't even smell it if my hair was on fire".

I just watched the first 3 episodes and 20 minutes is just too short, they’re very good. He does feel a bit autistic-coded which I like, the whole problems with eye contact and well, everything else. “He like me for real”.

The new Nexus Mods App runs quite nice on linux. I’ve only tested it with Bannerlord as that’s the only game I own out of the 4 ones being tested currently and unfortunately it doesn’t launch directly from the app, but it does correctly deploy the mods, so after one has added the mods, one can launch the game from a preferred launcher like steam or heroic games launcher and it works.

In rare cases white mold cheese will taste like blue mold cheese because of cross contamination, but that’s about the only defect I’ve experienced buying cheese close to their expiration dates. Oh, and camembert cheeses being a bit too runny and ammonia tasting, but as a sicko I kind of like that.
