I agree to some extent. They’re grossly overpriced. But I don’t see many shoebox options. All the layouts feel oversized and not efficient. Including the few studios. Hell a lot places have 2 parking spots for most units because of zoning laws.
I think American developers don’t like to go small unless they’re absolutely forced to.

What? All the new American apartments I’ve seen are luxury and full of nice amenities. Which I think is a problem because none of it is affordable. Even older apartments get renovated and the rent shoots up. I would love to see some practical and efficient apartments.
This is Denver so your region my differ. From what I gather new bare bones apartments only exist in extreme cost of living areas like Sanfran or NYC.
- Comment on guys what the heck theyre putting micro chips in the cheese and using blockchains to track the micro chips 2 weeks ago:
No? Barcodes and QR codes do not have enough information for unique identification. (Well they could but they start getting bigger and bigger)
But the real issue is needing these codes tracked and audited in a public manner. Instead of having a third party company trusted with all the cheese, you use a Blockchain with a public ledger. This doesn’t even require much processing power since there’s no incentive to mine as many blocks as possible.
I hate cryptobros but logistics is a good use for the tech. Tech is tech, not all use cases are bad.

Pretty sure this is false in most countries. You are required to disclose overseas purchases and declare values, even for personal use. If they hit a certain thresholds, you’ll have to pay a tax.
Now I’m sure most people just ignore this, because practically they don’t know which items you carried with you and which you purchased. But it isn’t legal.

Yea I’m not sure of OP’s ability and the requirements for games was vague. But IPX isn’t that big of a hurdle, DOSBox has an emulator for it: www.dosbox.com/wiki/connectivity
Bigger issues would be sourcing and playing some of these games on modern systems at all. And some dedicated servers can be a pain.

There’s a LAN party there every year. Seems about the best thing about it.
I inquired about why the Bustang that goes to to Colorado Springs doesn’t stop in Castle Rock. The Bustang employee heavily implied it was because Castle Rock just refuses to allow transit riders in their city. Castle Rock rather have a taxi budget for old people then do any form of public transit.

I was being slightly hypobolic. Because yes there are strawberries under 2000 as well. Even 800 yen is high compared to the states.

Japan also washes them. Just not all.
- Comment on eggs in japan 3 months ago:
Don’t worry. All the savings on eggs are destroyed by 2000 yen strawberries.
- Comment on Are dating apps a fraud since the beginning? 3 months ago:
They work. I don’t know why people like to perpetuate that dating apps make suboptimal matches. Dating apps match people up on some basic metrics. It’s up to the people to form connections. They dont have a magic ability to keep people from long term relationships.
If anything people might be more picky or idealistic because dating apps exist, so they’ll likely not commit because of their high standards or FOMO. But that’s more of a society issue not the dating apps themselves.

I always dislike this take because it pretends the US doesn’t have this exact issue. I’ve known people with less than ideal insurance who had very few doctors to pick from in-network and would take months to get an appointment.
Long wait times still happens in the US. Just like it can happen in public healthcare.

120V is the American outlet. Japan uses electric kettles juat fine at 100V. I think the reason they arnt super prevalent is cultural. Not speed.
