Never heard of it.
Oh, its locked behind apple arcade.
I’ve wondered how it is worth limiting your audience by requiring this subscription. I dont even realize these things exist when they’re locked up like that.

There are remakes, remasters, and rereleases. A lot of time they get lumped together but are distinctly different. Usually I prefer a good remaster. If the game has improved graphics, sound quality, works on modern systems with modern controls, and other quality of life upgrades then that’s awesome. The Command and Conquer Remastered collection really hit the mark with this recently. Quake 1 and 2, Halo Master Chief Collection, and God of War Collection were all pretty solid. Bioshock 1 and 2 were nice but fighting the mouse controls sucked. GTA Trilogy remaster seemed great too, but I only originally had played Vice City on initial release.
Rereleases are usually cash grabs and I hate that. It can be nice to get a port but when Nintendo is charging $30 for ancient games you have several copies of that just sucks. The recent Clash of Heroes M&M remaster felt like a cash grab rerelease too.
Remakes are usually a miss because they change things I dont want changed. I hate the FF7 remake. Give me a remaster and I would love it but that remake is packed with so much garbage filler and fundamentally changes the combat into button mashing boredom, its awful. Very pretty looking, but just horrible to play.
To answer the original question, remakes I like: Resident Evil 1 and 2 nailed it. Better controls, graphics etc, and maintained the majority of the game layout, awkward fucking script, and everything that made them iconic. Dead Space nailed it too except for the transition stutter when moving from area to area. Other worthy mentions are Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Shadow of the Collosus, Duck Tales, Grim Fandango, and Prince of Persia collection.
I’m playing System Shock now, but having never played the original I cant compare it. Its neat to have the opportunity to play a classic with improvements, and it reviewed well so I think its faithful enough I’m getting a good experience of it.

Keep going back. It sucks but this generates a history of chronic ailment and is what will get the issue escalated for other testing or seeing specialists. If you are in the US this is especially important in order to get insurance to cover things, and specialists typically have a long waiting list. If you need one get on that list ASAP.
- Comment on Sony doubles down. Only responds to their investors, not the consumers. I've never bought a digital console title. That will continue. 2 weeks ago:
Digital isnt the worst thing, but how “ownership” is controlled can be. I wouldn’t blame Sony for the move but their method is garbage, and their past practices with digital ownership is too.
GoG on the other hand knows how it should be done. I have tons of games from them on a thumb drive. I’ve neber actually needed to use it, but its nice to know I can. Major kudos to them. That said, most of my games are owned on steam, which still has DRM, but at least I can play those games on a 20 year old PC, a modern one, a box in my living room, or on a multitude of hand helds. With Sony you are tied to a specific console and thats that. Good fucking luck when they stop selling that console.

A lot of them you will know when you die very quickly that you’re not ready. It autosaves a lot so just load a recent save if you need to. I think the quests have recommended levels too?
The way I did it any time I finished a mission I would just look at what was closest to me on the map and do that next… It usually worked out ok.

Absolutely loved this game as a kid, played the absolute shit out of it. I cant really remember why I liked it more than FF Tactics, I just know I did but everyone else disagreed with me back then. And probably now.

Just put workbenches down, spawning is prevented wherever they are. You can bury them under floors, make walls arpund your base, put spikes up, make a trench, or all of the above.

It makes me wonder what the PC profits were for the God of war games, last of us, etc., whatever else made it over. They really blew it with the forced accounts thing, but God of War was great. I always hoped they would port the demon souls remake but I guess that’ll never happen.

A studio is only ever as good as its people. Those people will move to other things, sometimes they will group together under a new name. So yes, totally possible, you just might not recognize them if it happens.
- Comment on Mods recommendation for elden rings 5 months ago:
Better off with tips, mods if not done carefully can get you banned from online play. Online play is good.
Explore the surrounding area, generally follow the light path north until you hit the first big boss and die (entrance to a castle, cutscene) its a significant step and then explore more instead of railing on him. Try going south after that. You can go east a bit but if you get to a red area called Caelid stop and wait until knocking out a few other areas first.
Summon help if you need it. There is an item you can craft to do so, easy to find more crafting ingredients. It does open you to invasions but you can summon two helpers making that a 3 on 1 fight.
Place down your summoning sign to scout and grind for runes. You dont get as much runes but it can be a easy way to practice areas. Spend all your runes on leveling and items, when in doubt buy talismans and spells and arrows and other supplies. You can respec later to use some of that stuff. This way you have nothing to lose but time if you explore and die.
If you dont want to be invaded get the summoning bell. You can use this to summon an NPC helper for many areas. Theres a little totem thing designating where. The NPC helpers have abilities and are great for distracting enemies. Find the easier dungeons, usually cave entrances, many of them reward you with another summon for beating the boss inside.
Try out every weapon and spell and read every item description. Different weapon types have different move sets and its worth finding what works for you.
Dodge dip duck dive and dodge. Dodging has a moment of invulnerability, learn to time it right and you can roll right through attacks. Roll or circle around enemies to backstab. If there is a group of enemies try to single them out and take them one by one. Use arrows spells or other tools to lure them out. Take your time when you can. Advance in unfamiliar areas with your shield up in case of ambushes.
If an area is way too difficult mark it on your map and come back later. The game is massive and there is a ton of other things to explore and find that will help you out. It does take practice but dont be discouraged by the git gud bullshit.

For Stardew check your achievements and it will probably help to figure out what to do. If you made it to the island the room on the far west side has a checklist for getting “perfection” as well. When I finally got the movie theater I was also working on that checklist.
