I’ve heard of some edge cases where Wine is now a better option than native windows for really weirdly built 2000s era games. But overall most won’t run better since they have to run in a compatibility layer. The point is they do run and my computer isn’t just for gaming. Using windows is annoying af for the other 8 hours I’d spend working and losing some FPS in highend games is worth it.

It’s actually the opposite. If you want to play emulators or old (as in 2015) PC games via Wine/VM, MacOS has got you covered. It’s newer games that give you problems because they don’t get ports and you can’t play them with compatibility applications yet.

Same here, have never owned a graphics card in my life. When I occasionally do want a modern game I don’t need it at 120FPS with max settings.

With recent big game releases, it’s become obvious that a game is either a resounding success, or complete shit. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground.
You’re saying this from a player opinion perspective which is accurate, but it’s also interesting that companies act the same way. If your game doesn’t make 10 zillion dollars there’s a good chance that your entire company gets shut down.

Never buy “gaming” audio gear. Audio is the same no matter what you use it for. Buy something in the $100 price range marketed for audio production. Sennheiser is usually good.

I’ve never known SE to have infamously bad code except for when the first started doing pc ports. 13-1 and 13-2 were bad but 13-3 has a good reputation.

Think I know what happened here. Apple doesn’t approve updates if there’s anything broken or outdated in it. ie, support for a new screen aspect ratio, the dynamic island thing, new processor type, etc. Square can’t just fix one bug and ship it, they have to also update whatever parts of the app don’t work right with all the latest phones. If they don’t think that’s worth the time spent, it’d make more sense (to bean counters) to retire the app entirely.
