The trick is that all google services share the same 15GB free tier. So if you start using Google photos and upload 10GB pictures, you only have a total of 5GB left for emails.

Out of the loop: what’s the background story here?
- Comment on How com the ad industry make so much money? 1 week ago:
You run a Webshop without ads. You make 10 sales per day from organic traffic. That’s $100 profit for you.
You pay $100 to an influencer to tell his followers about your shop. You get 500 sales and make $5000 profit.
Same with Google ads, it multiplies your sales and shows your products to new customers.

SSI should be only for people that paid in.
Let’s say im 25, on my way to work flipping burgers and some drunk driver crashes into me, leaving me disabled and i can no longer walk or use my arms. Should I just die because i have not paid enough into social security, i am no longer contributing to companies and capitalism and would “take away” benefits from other people?

And how does this work out? Do companies not lobby against safety or environmental regulations if it hurts their profits? Is the water safe to drink everywhere? Is medical care available to everyone who needs it, regardless of income? Does everyone get social security, even if he could not pay in because of health issues, accidents or other reasons that prevented him from working full time for 40 years?

Oh wow, where are my us government shares?
- Comment on They eliminated cashiers and keep the profits. NY Democrats are fighting back. 2 weeks ago:
The difference is that the government has no shareholders or incentive to turn a profit, unlike companies. However it can sell luxury goods at a high price, to subside other goods like food or housing from the markup.

Dost matter, they only estimate the pice of the game vs price of the game plus ad revenue, adjusted for maybe 5% missed sales. The highest number wins.

As far as i know this was not much of a problem the older the pipes got, because the pipes would accumulate a layer of calcium carbonate deposits from the untreated water over time.

Yes, but in reality you need way more preparation, figure out what software they use, which weak points it might have and how to take advantage of it.

- Comment on What's the deal with AI datacenters using water for cooling? 3 months ago:
This is most likely more expensive, because you need 2 water cycles. One with a clean cooling liquid that carries the heat from the CPUs to a heat Transfer/cooling block, and then another system that passes river water over the cooling block. You cannot just use the river water directly because of all the sediment and other elements in untreated water that may clog or corrode your pipes.
- Comment on What's the deal with AI datacenters using water for cooling? 3 months ago:
Because you cannot dump infinite amounts of heated water into a river, it will kill the species living downstream.

- Comment on Is looksmaxxing legit? 4 months ago:
No; it’s essentially Eugenics for incels, assuming you could determine your “value” by measuring your face, and by working on it having more luck with woman. You pay some looksmaxxer with a broccoli haircut to insult your face, which is something you can get for free anywhere else on the internet. I assume the end goal is that everyone looks the same, so the inner values are finally important again.
This is a terrible idea, because it assumes you are only lonely because of looks, and by changing your looks you are suddenly popular. In reality, the people who date others just for their looks are horrible human beings, and will leave you soon for someone younger, or with more money or are just insufferable to be around if you move together.
I assume you look into it because you are lonely and insecure about yourself. This is normal for young people, but it gets easier as you get older. There are some good tips in here already, but here is what worked for me:
Find some hobby you can do outside with other people, and check your local meetup groups whats popular in your area. Anything that gets you away from a screen and spend time with real people, and maybe learn some new skills or get fit, like cycling, hiking, rock climbing, diving, flying gliders, cooking, maybe dancing. You don’t have to be there to be good at it or find a new hobby to sink all your time and money into, you just go there to meet people and have real interactions with them, and get away from toxic social media. If you find a find a girl you like, you must be a good friend first: be clean, dress well, smell nice, say nice things to her, listen to her, bring her food, be there if she needs help, talk about things you have in common - for example the hobby where you meet.
I used to live in a big city sharing the flat with other people. While dating your roommate sounds like a good idea and shortcut to regular sex, it might backfire if you break up, or she finds another friend. It’s much better to find out if she has single friends, and if you have skills she recognizes (cooking, fixing things around the house, interesting hobbys) she might introduce them to you.
