how can this possibly be a good investment? genuinely confused, i didn’t think this franchise still had much of a fanbase

btw anyone can become homeless, it has nothing to do with being able to read.
- Comment on Trump Calls for Department of Education to Be ‘Closed Immediately’ 1 week ago:
you’re maliciously ignorant. my partner used to be a recruiter for the largest hiring corp in our area. she’s had to fire people because they couldn’t read. like, at all.
- Comment on Venezuelan Migrant Sent to Guantánamo Bay Is ‘Not a Criminal,’ Family Pleads 1 week ago:
I’m with you here, I’m so sick and tired of the “please fuck us up we deserve it” rhetoric. personally I’ve been through enough anguish and i just wanna be left alone, but now i gotta worry about me and my partners survival.
- Comment on If you're falling apart at only 27 you're in real trouble 2 weeks ago:
they’re evil. i know someone who got their house foreclosed because the VA messed up the covid relief paperwork and refused to do anything about it. court was closed the day of their appeal hearing due to weather, so they got evicted for “not showing up in court”. oh and this was in the middle of winter with like a foot of snow on the ground
- Comment on Why do some people assume all immigrants are illegal and should "go back to where they came from"? Shouldn't that logic apply to all non-Native Americans? 2 weeks ago:
my great grandparents immigrated from Finland. can’t wait to go!
- Comment on Medical Industrial Complex 3 weeks ago:
the only treatment i have gotten is gabapentin and another med that have helped a little with some of the pain, but I’m still in constant pain and have not been able to find anyone who can diagnose or treat joint disorders (I’m suspecting EDS).
smoking a j helps for a couple hours but that gets expensive quick lol. my partner has learned how to massage my ribs back into place but can’t help with my hips so they’re fucked. lol
sorry i can’t be more help, but I’m in the same boat 😭 good luck to you guys
- Comment on Medical Industrial Complex 3 weeks ago:
all rheumatologists in my area have straight up refused my referrals, stating they don’t treat fibromyalgia or connective tissue disorders anymore. it’s crazy

even Germany is calling it a Nazi salute. reporting you for misinformation. we have full video of him doing the Nazi salute, there’s no way to deny it.

yeah normal people make it a rule to be rude to Nazi apologists. get over it

- Comment on Day 148 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I’ve been playing until I forget to post Screenshots 2 months ago:
i would honestly compare it to Rimworld, in terms of colony management. it’s very intensive, way more in depth than fallout shelter. and it’s a lot of fun
- Comment on As a human, here is my human take on unions 2 months ago:
i was a part of the union for several years, went to meetings and voted and everything. unfortunately i became disabled and the amount of medical bills etc became so overwhelming i had to cut everything i could. since i was still covered by the union, i had to make that choice for me, even tho it bothers me. I’m not a leech, just in an unfortunate financial position currently. $40 is a lot for some people, especially if they have mouths to feed :(
- Comment on As a human, here is my human take on unions 2 months ago:
at my job, you are covered by the union whether you pay dues or not

- Comment on Is something happening in South Korea? 2 months ago:
latter. same as Des Moines being pronounced “da-moyn”
- Comment on [deleted] 2 months ago:
that’s the problem though. people try to do it themselves and often die painfully or survive with sometimes debilitating lifelong injuries. this way, it’s on their terms but supervised by a doctor, and it’s not a violent way to go.
- Comment on What games have you put the most hours into? 2 months ago:
based on this, you should try Rimworld if you haven’t yet. I’ve put over 1000 hours into it and i don’t do that with anything

- Comment on why are fax machines still used by medical systems? 3 months ago:
read my post again. this is a provider that is probably losing business because people can’t get their referral in to see them unless they walk it through the door themselves. how is that convenient?
