Yes…? YouTube wants to get paid. Companies pay YouTube to play ads. You pay YouTube not to play ads. If you do that, then the companies obviously won’t be paying for that. So either you pay or the advertisers pay. Mind blown!
- Comment on Subtitling a video, what is that noise at the end before they scribble on his face? This time, no tools to cut it out because it sounded distorted 4 weeks ago:
Before markers squeeking, a slight wooshing from the markers flying up.

Let’s hope they don’t go under whilst holding the 100 billion dollar check the big AI firms have been passing around the last few years…
- Comment on Apps for boycotting American products surge to the top of the Danish App Store 2 months ago:
I would love to move away from Google. However, Danish security apps require Google Play for security verification so it isn’t viable to move away from mainstream Android and Google Play - unless it’s to Apple, which is hardly better.

Well, uhm… You should not be overwhelmed by what the future might hold, but just focus on getting through today. It’s easy to mock sayings if you’re too stupid to understand them.

Honestly, people would probably object more to advanced math than advanced biology if they were exposed as much to it. Or basic math. Or elementary math…

Oh I know the feeling! I just watched Arkangel of season 4, since that’s where I left off. Half way through I asked myself why I’m doing this to myself. It’s actually not a horrible episode, but in general Black Mirror is just leaving you with a very high quality depression.
- Comment on What TV show were you highly excited for, but ended up quickly disappointing you? 11 months ago:
The Watch, Terry Pratchett “inspired” show. It disappointed me long before it even aired and made me angrily sad when it did.

Is no one going to comment on the “magnified five times under a microscope”? Five times? What kind of weak, low refraction plastic lens, cost of bubblegum microscope are you using to magnify your enormous monster ants?
- Comment on [Weekly thread] It's Thursday, which movies have you been watching? 1 year ago:
Deadpool and Wolverine - Fun movie with absolute no content. I enjoyed myself throughout and sad afterwards thinking about what a nothing burger the movie is. All empty calories.

I had no idea about Oppenheimer - I have the Danish steelbook which is no doubt worth less. I also have the Amazon Infinity Saga collectors edition in 4k which is also apparently somewhat pricey now.
