Which is great, honestly. Borogoves themselves are fine, but it’s not worth the risk letting them get all mimsy.

Also the fact that the grain on the side of the shell is perpendicular to the grain on the top, and it changes where the cat ear comes up in front of it.
Very telltale sign of AI is a change of pattern in something when a foreground object splits it.
Not saying it’s always a guarantee, but it’s a common quirk and it’s pretty easy to identify.

Thanks for confirming. I’m glad you mentioned it, cause it’s so important for teachers to create a learning environment that students want to learn from.
My schooling was made a lot worse by teachers that had the “punish cheaters” kind of mindset, and it’s a big part of why I dropped out of highschool.
- Comment on Clever, clever 2 weeks ago:
The implication I gathered from the comment was that if students are resorting to using chatgpt to cheat, then maybe the teacher should try a different approach to how they teach.
I’ve had plenty of awful teachers who try to railroad students as much as possible, and that made for an abysmal learning environment, so people would cheat to get through it easier. And instead of making fundamental changes to their teaching approach, teachers would just double down by trying to stop cheating rather than reflect on why it’s happening in the first place.
Dunno if this is the case for the teacher mentioned in the original post, but the response is the vibe I got from the comment you replied to, and for what it’s worth, I fully agree. Spending time and effort on catching cheaters doesn’t help there be less cheaters, nor does it help people like the class more or learn better. Focusing on getting students enjoyment and engagement does reduce cheating though.

Fair warning, Battle of Mice can be tough to listen to. Song 6 of “A day of Nights”, titled “At the base of the giants throat” has 911 call audio from 7:00 ish to the end of the song.

Check out Battle of Mice, Deafheaven, and Oathbreaker if you haven’t. They lean pretty heavily on the depressing side of metal, but they have some killer vibes.

Could check out High on Fire if you haven’t.
Saw them open for Mastodon in 2009 (I think). Fucking excellent on stage.

- Comment on M*crosoft's search engine is borderline unusable 2 months ago:
Searx (as others have said) is an aggregate of multiple search engines all bundled into one, with very finetuned customization (ie: you can toggle every search option you want or not within each category).
You also don’t need to host your own, though I’m not sure what the significance of being self hosted in this case is.
As far as usefulness over other search sites, it’s generally better with some caveats. Search engines as a whole are in a pretty awful state, so combining them is better, but still not that good. It does offer some very niche search engines that can be extremely useful when pooled together though, which is nice.
Searx also has some captcha issues that I haven’t quite figured out. My understanding is that essentially, search engines don’t like when you use their engine without being on their site, and it’ll stop working via searx (until you go to the site in question and do the captcha maybe?).
There’s also a few different domains for searx with varying degrees of availability as far as what engines they reliably connect to.
All in all, searx is great by comparison to mainstream trash, but it can be a headache to setup, and a headache to maintain. There’s a masterlist of searx hosts somewhere, I’ll try and see about finding it if someone else doesn’t link it.

It’s also a way to essentially say, “hey if we release paid dlc, you can’t call it a mod and release it for free”.

Yeah it’s apparently a common first choice for bipolar (which is overly diagnosed). It made me gain a ton of weight, and then my doc was exclusively concerned about my weight from that point on, until I stopped going to him.
Before that though, I was just like “I gained the weight because of a side effect from a med you gave me, for a condition that I don’t have. The weight is an issue that will be fixed if we look at the actual problem here, doc.”
Ugh.

I agree that a cable would be wildly more useful than what’s pictured, for what it’s worth.
That said (tangentially related), I have a few male/female usb cables and they’re a godsend. Extremely handy for game controllers and/or extenders for bluetooth or wireless device dongles.

The adapter shown is functionally identical to a usb 2 to usb c cable. I believe the meme is essentially suggesting the same thing you did with using a file explorer.
