You got pretty good answers last time you asked this. Were they insufficient? I don’t see that you responded to any of those answers: linux.community/post/837122

You can’t “just start” a class action suit. You need to sue, get other people to sue, coordinate, and apply for class action status. That’s more time and effort than an individual suit.

That’s not the fault of OP, that’s Lemmy mangling the preview.

You assume it’s being properly staffed, funded, and managed.
- Comment on Microsoft Closes Redfall Developer Arkane Austin, Hi-Fi Rush Developer Tango Gameworks, and More in Devastating Cuts at Bethesda 1 week ago:
Cool but most indie devs don’t have the capital to fund the development. They want to make those games, but they have to partner with publishers so they can afford to buy stuff like food and rent while developing before the make any sales.

That would probably be trademark, not copyright.

I’m sure they do. I mean this is for Sony to pad their numbers for active paying accounts.

I’m sure they don’t.
- Comment on Helldivers 2 now delisted in 177 countries 2 weeks ago:
They already have this data to improve the game. They basically have a DM watching everything and managing play. This is just for Sony.

Bruh it’s library Internet access, not a human rights violation

You’re welcome to use the library PCs (if available) or get your own ISP connection.

- Comment on Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Rolling Out Now 3 weeks ago:
The next-gen update includes native applications for the consoles, Performance mode and Quality mode settings, as well as stability improvements and fixes. This means the game will be playable up to 60 frames per second and with an increased resolution.
Really stretching the definition of “next-gen” there. I’m pretty sure those have been standard for years now. But then it is Bethesda we’re talking about, still using the same hacked-up engine from Morrowind.

- Comment on Passwords and 2FA at a small business 4 weeks ago:
It depends on what you’re protecting and how. The token might be a yubikey or RSA token, for example. Whatever is supported by your MFA product. It could even be an old loaner cell phone with no cell service if the only method is an app.
- Comment on Passwords and 2FA at a small business 4 weeks ago:
The replacement cost for user devices isn’t high, for you it’s zero. At most it’s your time helping them reprovision the token. Or to the cost of a temporary other token, which you could keep stocked.
I set up MFA some years ago with yubikeys and authlite to protect AD, it wasn’t that expensive. We also did 365 auth to the Microsoft app on personal phones. We didn’t have any complaints there, but if we did we would have issued a token or something.

It’ll either be janky Linux or cracked Windows, on an off-the-shelf Chinese board in a cheap case with joysticks that barely work.
- Comment on Asset and Vulnerability Scanning 1 month ago:
I’ve used it at a couple places. It’s pretty good. It’s best at checking the box on an audit to say you have a vulnerability management program.
If you want real coverage, you should also be actively involved in what’s in your company’s environment, and how security updates (for external software) and vulnerabilities (for internal) are handled. That is, do you have people looking for vulnerabilities, e.g. with fuzzing?
For Windows environments, you should additionally look at bloodhound and pingcastle.
