No, it’s not. You should see a bunch of appliances from that era like you do older ones, but they’re just gone.

here’s a weird one. A woman i was seeing intermittently, strong attraction, very different lives and locations, yeah i was an “Uncle” her boy knew for years. I’m in town for a week and he’s watching Andrew Tate advice videos in the living room that one day. Horrible shit he’s saying. Ask her, why are you letting him watch that garbage and realize she wanted that behavior out of me.
- Comment on Anon's uncle watches Andrew Tate 11 months ago:
well yeah. You see it in cycles from a personal POV, or in groups from a displaced. The relationship/divorce treadmill, watching your old friends go on and off the market over decades. the 30 year olds are either in committed relationships with kids or not whatsoever. the 40 year olds of either type are on the dating apps, fresh divorced and back on the market or never married wondering why the supply has gotten shy. I did notice a spike around @28 when the early achievers finished their first divorce.

- Comment on inches plus coins equals metric system 1 year ago:
It’s more it didn’t have rules. Decimal standard was used by surveyors and engineers, mechanical types. Fractional was more useful for carpenters and tradesmen, descending halves is more intuitive than descending tens, it just became custom. You can order a “big inch” ruler, ten inches in a foot, inches in tenths down too, or a caliper that displays in thousandths

I have one 8 inch Teflon pan I bought in 2012 for French omelletes. It’s only ever seen a plastic fork and spatula, medium heat, still looks new

I mean, we don’t think it sounds stupid, it’s just normal. I’d not have noticed if i hadn’t spent so long abroad, where people though my accent was peculiar, and later laughed often when they’d hear my voice revert halfway through overheard phone calls home.

man like a billion people over 6 continents speak English. HTF is that gonna happen?
- Comment on Jragon 1 year ago:
I’m thinking it’s a regional thing and this guy is from my general region, it’s totally a thing out here. The letter “T” is really only useful on paper, people use “D” when they speak for the most part for “T” (except for T’s followed by an “h”), and “J” is any “D” when followed by an “r”

He must drive a pickup. With their deep gearing, yeah I do this all the time, no problem, no excessive clutch wear. Modern car on a steep hill, highway gearing, smaller motor tuned for higher rpm hp not lower end torque, yeah I start handbrake launching on steep hills, or heel toeing the gas n brake.

I’m sitting here procrastinating doing books with stacks of paperwork for the business spread all over the table, but all the bills are paid and I’m in the black so yeah, a little bit.
