- Comment on TIL that Eurasian brown bear (Ursus arctos arctos) is the bearest of all bears – "ursus" means bear, and "arctos" also means bear, so the scientific name translates to "Bear bear bear" 1 day ago:
If it’s black, you’re a snack.
If it’s brown, you’re going to Stomach Town.
If it’s white, uhh, you’re a Turkish delight.
Basically, stay away from all bears, if possible.

Black bears: they are bears, yes, and could kill me in a single swipe if they wanted to. Thankfully (and hilariously) they are so timid. I (a not intimidating person) raise my voice and say “hey, go!” And they run.
Grizzly bears, I used to think were scary. And they are. What I am getting at is that they are more territorial than human-eaty. Give them space. Give them as much space as you can. They will growl and grunt but they will not really want to bother with you.
Polar bears are nightmares. The blood on white fur doesn’t help their image. They will kill anything. They move so quick and quietly.

I am looking forward to the muck. None of this is even confirmed but I am excited and comforted by the thoughts of being soaked in blood and semen and feces.

My weekend is not officially over but it functionally is. I have been talking with interesting people for a bit.

I am going to wear a thrift store black shirt and buy a white shirt when I get there. Thank you, friendo.
- Comment on Solar powered personal umbrella with battery? 1 week ago:
Umbrellas are used in sunshine and are often called parasols. It’s not a bad form factor, it just seems to have practical limitations, like being foldable and still useful. Love the idea, though.
Japan is ready. Other places can be made ready. It isn’t hard to prepare people for bikes or whatever. Solar panels on everything are potentially a good idea. I only worry that my umbrellas do not last.

It is sort of my understanding that they were not really a band as much as they are a franchise. The music being second fiddle is fine with me. God, this is terrible. Still excited. Woo!

Pretty sure it is GWAR and then I should probably put an exclamation point after it.

Maybe I will just buy a shirt. If it does stain, I might put it on display.
“In this room, I keep my white t-shirt soaked in blood, cum, and feces. And over here is the veranda”.

So it washes out or should I not wear a light coloured shirt I am in love with?

I am not much of a concert person, but I am really hoping I do get to go to this one. I have been aware of them forever; never heard their music before today. It’s… the most mediocre metal I have ever heard. But to be fair, I am obviously going for the performance and pageantry more than anything else.

Husband and I are never seated together even though booked together because humanity is a paid upgrade. Granted, the flight may be $9 or cheaper than a movie. Anyhoo. I can turn that into an opportunity to get to know another in-flight husband or two.

It is 8 hours. I got that movie on DVD from Germany. I have never watched the whole thing and I would be disappointed in myself if I ever do.

I saw one of the more recent-ish movies. One of the dinosaurs removed its subdermal tracking device and the humans find it because it has a big blinking light bulb on it. A big blinking light bulb on a subdermal tracker. Are these movies self aware? Was that supposed to be a joke?

I didn’t get it. Now I do. Still, use that bacon grease in place of butter. Maybe add less salt. Now you gentlemen gonna buy some wigs or ain’t ya?
- Comment on Breaking the generational barriers 3 weeks ago:
I guess they have been trained to not value valuable things so they can buy new things to serve that same purpose? I stayed with someone who threw away all the white part of his leeks because that was all just root and they once touched dirt or something.
- Comment on Breaking the generational barriers 3 weeks ago:
If you aren’t the kind of person who eats bacon to get that bacon fat from in the first place, feel free to ignore.
- Comment on Breaking the generational barriers 3 weeks ago:
Are you the same people complaining about increasing food prices who are also throwing away the best part? The bacon is the byproduct. People! Save this grease and use it when another recipe calls for butter.
