Glad someone mentioned it, that was my immediate thought.
- Comment on What are your favorite "gotta go in blind" games? 2 weeks ago:
Absolutely this. I am jealous each time I recommend it to someone who hasn’t played it yet.
- Comment on They're called leaves for a reason. 4 weeks ago:
As a Brit we were always taught to gently disturb leaf piles before jumping in them or throwing them into the fire, just in case hedgehogs were in there. The habit has stuck, although I now just rake our leaves up onto the mulched beds and leave them. The chickens will then pull them apart and consume any living thing unfortunate enough to live there.
- Comment on Is a Quest 3 really worth it? 4 weeks ago:
Very accurate. We have the Quest 1 and 2, both just collecting dust now, I’m not even sure if they would work anymore. We set up a VR gaming night with a few friends who also had headsets, played Beat Saber and Synth Riders a bunch, then got bored and decided to explore a new game where you walk about and chop wood and whatnot. Five minutes of that and I was so dizzy I almost threw up. It made me realize that the type of game you can play on these is very very limited. I did get a lot of mileage from Synth Riders, so I’m not saying it’s all worthless tech, but we probably could have got a better ROI just buying a regular console with the money.

But then how much time have you saved not having to receipt the receipts.

For a little while ours was used for this. Covid too. Client was under an alias and wasn’t with us long so no idea.

Female human here. I’ve honestly always just read it literally, a person having sex second in a multiple partner scenario, and it being sloppy down there for all involved. There’s just as much guy in the statement as there is girl, doesn’t seem all that problematic to me.
- Comment on And they don't fold well either 5 months ago:
Years ago my husband bought a random pillow from Amazon. I liked it so much I also bought one, but I guess it was a different manufacturer and I hated it. He’s not fussy so we swapped, and I swear to god this is the best pillow I’ve ever used. It was like $23 and the link is broken now.

- Comment on Why are there "driveway connections by permit only" signs on roads? 5 months ago:
That’s a wild take, thanks for writing it up. I’m in Tennessee, and it feels like our state isn’t as shrewd as that, but I could be wrong.
- Comment on Why are there "driveway connections by permit only" signs on roads? 5 months ago:
Innnnteresting. That’s an angle I hadn’t thought about before.
- Comment on Why are there "driveway connections by permit only" signs on roads? 5 months ago:
Yep, it’s the road sign part that gets me confused. I live in Tennessee. I suppose that makes some sense but I still don’t know if I understand why it needs a sign vs just having an ordinance and fining people who don’t follow it. In my brain, road signs are for things you might need to know in the spur of the moment. It’s not like people are going “Whoops I just built an unapproved driveway!”

Yeah most pizzas run 300-400 cals a slice. If I really try to go easy on the cheese I can make a tortilla pizza for 500 cals.
I also make a wicked delicious lasagna without pasta sheets (sub for zucchini and kale layers). We designed it to fit our keto macros and I’ve kept it on rotation even though we’re only moderate low carb now.
- Comment on YOOOOOOOOOOOO 11 months ago:
Yes! We use mission low carb wraps (they seem to crisp up better) and spread tomato puree on top, then season it with garlic salt and Italian herbs, add clumps of grated cheese, and then toppings.
The trick is to preheat the oven to 400 with a cast iron in, and then spray with oil when you take it out ready to cook on (use gloves, it’ll be hot). Carefully transfer the pizza to the hot pan, return to oven, and cook for 10 mins. Depending on the toppings, and if you like it a little more top crispy, switch the oven to broil at the 8 min mark for the last two mins.
My new obsession is a little smidge of grated brussel sprouts (don’t knock it til you try it) with an oil spritz.

Nope. There’s a whole thing where a human can’t move the joystick quick enough on full speed to clear the blocks so they invented a new method of tapping the joystick. This only got discovered in the last decade, and meant world record holders went from games at level 29 to games in the hundreds. This kid played until the game’s memory couldn’t cope anymore. That’s now the competition, pushing it until it crashes and hoping it happens on a higher level than the last person. The only achievement beyond this is mid-200s level when the game would roll over to 0. But that’s basically impossible because it’d crash far before that.
- Comment on Recommend a game for me to play with my partner 1 year ago:
Yes! A very fun game to play as a couple! I liked how it was more graphically interesting than a lot of other puzzle games, and dialog is fantastic.

Nah it’s really bad at labeled diagrams. It knows what words to put on, and now to make it look good, but it doesn’t know how to actually map things well.
