- Comment on Elden Ring: Shadows of the Erdtree will come with a day 1 patch with various improvements 5 months ago:
+1 for seamless co-op. Since I first tried it, I swore off the native co-op, it’s honestly in a league of its own.
- Comment on Streets of Fortuna is a chaotic The Sims-like in an ambitious open-world city sandbox, made with the help of Dwarf Fortress creators 6 months ago:
I don’t think everyone knows about the life sim genre, but most everyone has heard of, or played, The Sims, so it makes for a more attention grabbing headline. But yes, it is stupid.
- Comment on Microsoft Flight Simulator's aviation career-focused sequel arrives this November 6 months ago:
I’m apprehensive because it could be really cool, but I expect it’ll just work like the current activities.
- Comment on Witchy, swampy action-adventure South Of Midnight gets a proper gameplay trailer with island-sized alligators 6 months ago:
The animation is painful to look at, for me.
- Comment on SteamVR for Linux gets "experimental improvements to async support" 6 months ago:
There are probably 4 reasons I haven’t made the full switch to Linux yet:
- DLSS and general NVIDIA support.
- HDR support, though this has at least been improved recently.
- No Game Pass support. I heard rumours of Microsoft and Valve working together for some kind of Steam/GP integration, but god knows if it’s true, and if it would work on Linux even if it were.
- VR support, especially since it means I can’t use VD.

Believe it or not, this is actually a picture of an average 19th century 12 year old.
- Comment on Images leak of Valve's next game, and it's an Overwatch-style hero shooter 6 months ago:
It might make Valve unlikely to make another game and a lot of people, including myself, would be hugely disappointed but I don’t think it would have any major negative effects beyond those two.
- Comment on Seedless Catholics Against Watermelons? 7 months ago:
I didn’t even know seedless watermelons were a thing, so it saddens me to discover that they are, and that they’re bad, since the main reason I don’t like watermelons is having to deal with the seeds.
- Comment on Can You Lose Your Native Tongue? After moving abroad, I found my English slowly eroding. It turns out our first languages aren’t as embedded as we think. 7 months ago:
My partner is Bulgarian and she hates having to speak her native tongue, one of the reasons being that she keeps needing to remember how to speak it.
- Comment on French revolution 7 months ago:
Doesn’t matter, had sex.
- Comment on The second matchup of the tournament 7 months ago:
See, I find that level of confidence more realistic, like maybe I could take on a wolf, rather than it being an obvious fact.
- Comment on The second matchup of the tournament 7 months ago:
You think you can take on a wolf? They aren’t chihuahuas you know.
- Comment on Stellaris director insists “ethical use of AI is very important to us” after generating voices in latest DLC 7 months ago:

Do they do it to ones who are unlikely to survive or do they just get a bit peckish for it sometimes?
- Comment on By their powers combined... 7 months ago:
Elon took that personally, I guess.
- Comment on The Witcher 3's REDkit mod tools launch May 21st, enabling a new era of ambitious overhauls 7 months ago:
I feel like all the people who would’ve been willing to start big modding projects left years ago…
- Comment on Starfield’s biggest update yet fixes its rubbish maps, adds custom difficulty and expands ship decoration 7 months ago:
Wild that they’re actually adding ground vehicles. I’m happy they’re adding more ship customization but I hope it comes with fixes to the layout generation.

- Comment on Why haven't I heard calls for sanctions on this abominable regime yet? 7 months ago:
Are you seriously asking why someone is worried about your friends advocating for what could end up killing innocent people?

Juat another Tuesday for the UK government.
- Comment on Prison Architect 2 has been pushed from its already delayed release date next month all the way back to autumn 8 months ago:
Sadly not expecting much from this.
- Comment on "Weird Al" Yankovic - Real or Cake? 8 months ago:
Yes. As we all know, Al is an alien and as such can regenerate from wounds easily.

As a Brit I feel conflicted.

Why do you say that? Just because it’s in those kinds of receptacles?
