  maybe look up videos of “rotary fly trap”. maybe you can make something like that for roaches. it’s a genius system of overlapping comb like structures under a transparent slowly rotating lid that basically works like an airlock, closing an outer room first, then opening an inner room, so there is no escape. it being transparent also fools the insects in thinking they are still in the open, even though it’s slowly closing above them

  In my region there are laws that telecoms have to provide a way to let the government snoop, but the government doesn’t use it without probable cause.

  Some people think a VPN will protect them, because the provider doesn’t log, but all the government needs is the VPN keys and they can intercept all traffic between the VPN and the user and log it themselves.

  it could be bad for the teeth, if the particular powder contains lots of acid (eg. citric acid). usually that acid would be diluted in the water, so it would be weaker and less of it will touch your teeth. But when you eat the powder directly, it’s concentrated and depending on how much of it touches your teeth, it can become a problem.

  this is not always true. many tutorials encourage people to do a setup that does not output a PHP error to the web, as it can leak info that may help an attacker, such as the file path the error occurred in. in setups like these PHP will log the error to a file an attacker can’t access (often /var/log/php/error.log ) and exit with a failure status code, which many common web server setups will turn into an HTTP 500 error. Some server setups will just send an empty file though, which will be a blank white page shown in a browser.
