It’s why women wear perfumes so much, to try and mask the smell.
Holy shit dude WHAT lmaooooo

Been a lotta weird “vaginas smell like fish” posts lately…
Never understood where that idea came from anyway.

That seems like it would kill millions of people who have very little control over the actions of the country.

I haven’t actually played it (wont play any game that used or uses LLM software), so I can only tell you what I’ve read.
Shame, it looked interesting

I think the Where Winds Meet tried this, right? The NPCs ended up saying anachronistic things and making travel itineraries for Beijing or something.

- Comment on Newsom Vows to Stop Proposed Billionaire Tax in California 5 weeks ago:
Honey, the media amplified what people had been saying for years. Biden was too old, incapable and a truly terrible candidate. That had echoed during his primary and during his entire presidency where his administration did very little to improve things for Americans and less to prevent the rise of fascism. This country has previously weaponized its various departments, overtly and covertly, against left wing activists and politicians and routinely does fuck all against the right.
The DNC isn’t blameless here. Yes, people should vote against fascism, but also the opposition to fascism has a duty to select people who actively oppose fascism, not some cop and a doting old fool who didn’t recognize that politics have changed since the 80’s.
- Comment on Newsom Vows to Stop Proposed Billionaire Tax in California 5 weeks ago:
No, they weren’t perfect. Far from it. They were terrible choices put forth by one of the most powerful political machines on this planet, chosen to be just palatable enough to try and eek out a win from a further and further disconnected and disenfranchised populace. The DNC gambled and lost.
Skirting the primaries and forcing Kamala Harris onto voters was a massive folly that bypassed the people’s right to play a part in picking the candidate.
Are they preferable? Sure. I’d rather you attack me with a hack saw than a chain saw.
It’s hard to completely blame the nonvoters, though. They’re just doing what they were taught in civics. Voting for the candidates that best represented their interests. There weren’t any candidates they believed would actually address their issues. And there weren’t. And there won’t be. At some point, the onus must fall on the DNC to actually do their job and pick likable candidates and not just the voters to just fall in line with whoever the party says they will vote for.
- Comment on Newsom Vows to Stop Proposed Billionaire Tax in California 5 weeks ago:
Yup. And the DNC will take advantage of that fear to put forth candidates who will maintain the new status quo and fix nothing. The RNC will capitalize on the voter apathy and disconnect the DNC manufacturers and push the country further right.
Repeat ad nauseum. There’s no solving this via elections, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t participate in it.
- Comment on Newsom Vows to Stop Proposed Billionaire Tax in California 5 weeks ago:
Yup. Lose big fast or lose big slow. It’s politics, baby, you’ll never win, that’s for rich people only.
- Comment on Newsom Vows to Stop Proposed Billionaire Tax in California 5 weeks ago:
It’s a lose-lose scenario innit. Don’t vote, aid in growing fascism, vote, give tacit approval for the DNCs continuous onslaught of dogshit candidates who will do nothing to fight growing fascism or improve the material conditions for Americans.
None of it matters if you don’t live in a battleground state, to be fair. If you’re in a firm blue or red state, your vote simply doesn’t matter.

I don’t think ibuprofen is safe to take with alcohol either.
Pretty sure the label warns against this here. But lots of water and sleep is a good idea.
Do I have to get shit faced to get braised beef tongue for breakfast or can I just ask nicely? I’m open to either.

Oh honey it happens, it’s not a clear sign of any larger problem, sometimes people just get too drunk.
…if it becomes a pattern, that’s a different story. But he was probably a bit nervous meeting the family and overindulged. If he’s doing it out of boredom, make the boy cook!! Anyone can peel or chop vegetables. I got mine a lil apron and call him my sous chef (don’t tell him he’s the actually the garçon de cuisine)
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
In the moment? Put him to bed. Tell him he’s too drunk and he’s causing problems, acting inappropriately and put him to bed. Tomorrow, explain what happened, if he’s not immediately remorseful hit him with the “Are you proud of your actions? Trying to touch my cock in front of my family?” be explicit. Explain that is unacceptable and if that’s how he’s going to act while drunk, he can’t drink that much around your family. Set these firm boundaries.
If he’s a decent man, he’s gonna feel really regretful. You can explain you still love him, you still wanna be with him, you understand people get drunk and make bad decisions and ask him if he wants help metering his drinking and try to work out some code phrases to remind him to pace himself while saving face. Revelling drunks hate to be told “Slow down” or “Haven’t you had enough?” Something like touching his shoulder and saying “Whew, these drinks are strong! I think I’m gonna get a buffer water, do you want one, honey?”
Also, get him a Gatorade before he goes to bed and one for when he wakes up, that should help the hangover in a big way. Any electrolytes will do. I like the Brode pills.

I got 3 (Volume rocker and power) and it feels like plenty.
It’s been so long since I had more than 3 and I’m curious. I had an iPhone for work, that had a 4th, the home button on the bottom center of the touch screen and I hated that. What do you want from physical buttons on the phone?
- Comment on Touch Screens Are Over. Even Apple Is Bringing Back Buttons. 1 month ago:
Thank fuck. So glad I managed to dodge the cars with all touch screen controls. I got one as a loaner after my Civic was totaled in an accident (Thank u for buying me a new car, uninsured, out-of-state white supremacist with a truck too big for any reasonable use!) and it used the touch screen to control the climate control! I had to look away from the road to change the heating!
Just stupid.
Give me simple buttons and knobs I can feel and fix. Capacitives, touch screens, all that nonsense should stick to phones.
I’m okay with the phone being a touch screen. The rest can go back to normal.
- Comment on Watch: ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’ Cast Introduce Their Cadet Characters 1 month ago:
Well, I can’t watch the actual introductions because they’re all stuck on Instagram, but the trailer posted seemed… fine, I guess. It seemed kinda action forward but that’s just part of some episodes. The writing seemed a little sloppy? Like Picardo saying “we got X injured but no casualties”. Casualties include injured, don’t they? Also maybe it was just me but everyone’s mouths looked like they were moving kinda weird during the action shots. Maybe that’s a playback issue tho.

GenAI in its current state seems hard set on ruining the wealth of information we’ve collected and put on the internet.
These LLM recipes are a serious problem, they’re incredibly frustrating to encounter and getting more annoying to avoid. At this stage, if it’s not on a site I already trust, it’s more guidelines and concept than a recipe proper, since you can’t be sure a human has even tried making this thing yet.
