It doesn’t anymore. I think they dropped the My with Vista? Certainly it was gone by Windows 7.

Yes. Was that question aimed at me?

Unfortunately this is the correct answer ^^^
To overcome anxiety you have to do the things that make you anxious. The best way is to do them now, the thinking time just increases the anxiety, and putting stuff off reinforces the fear.

Same way you do with Lemmy communities from Lemmy.

Smaller = cheaper to make, less space needed for storage, etc. They also look thicker, so might be more robust. I’d be surprised if any record player couldn’t play 45 rpm, the reason for 33⅓ will be because they are smaller they need to be slower to increase the playing time.
- Comment on pwned: do you pronounce it as "pohned" "pawned" or "owned" 3 months ago:
After not knowing for ages, I recently discovered it was pronounced pooned. The W is pronounced the same as in Welsh.*
- The Welsh language, not the word “Welsh”

He just waves a freshly minted 50 as he walks through passport control.
- Comment on King's coat of arms to feature on new UK passports 4 months ago:
Yeah, it’s more about updating to the current emblems, which would happen anyway. Sounds like they are updating the passports and doing this at the same time. If the King was that bothered he would have made them change it when they altered the text from “her majesty” to “his majesty”.

- Comment on Labour votes AGAINST letting disabled people use the bus for free before 9:30am 5 months ago:
That’s a fair point, but I was looking at it from the government’s angle. If you’re working, you have the money to pay for the transport to get you to work. If you can’t afford to eat after that, that’s a different matter entirely.
- Comment on Labour votes AGAINST letting disabled people use the bus for free before 9:30am 5 months ago:
Yes, buses should be for the benefit of all. Unfortunately they are mostly run by private companies who want to make a profit.
(Also I see that I got downvoted for trying to provide a balanced view of why this is even a policy, aren’t the votes supposed to be “adds to the discussion” not “I agree”?)

Yes, thank you.
- Comment on Labour votes AGAINST letting disabled people use the bus for free before 9:30am 5 months ago:
I think the point is, if you’re working you don’t need free bus travel. If you’re on the bus at that time of the morning then you’re probably working (or going to an important early morning appointment, who knows), and the buses are at their busiest so discouraging extra users at that time is beneficial. This might be your only form of transport if you are disabled though, so it seems unfair to force payment if you have no other option. I get why the early peak is excluded (you could argue the afternoon peak should be excluded too), although I’m at a loss as to why it finishes at 11pm.

In cities, maybe. Everywhere else - forget it. We don’t even have buses on Sundays round here.

The restrictions also mean that disabled people can’t get a bus for free after 11 pm, because
we don’t have social lives or jobs…there aren’t any buses at that time of night.FTFY.

Which means you can’t scan the barcode on the app either…
- Comment on Paper and mobile train tickets to be replaced with GPS tracking in new travel trial 5 months ago:
It does seem like a very over-engineered solution, with far too many points of failure.
- Comment on Paper and mobile train tickets to be replaced with GPS tracking in new travel trial 5 months ago:
Weird that it needs GPS given that the barriers that need to scan the barcode already know where you are!
I have a KeyGo card and this works great - you scan the card at the barriers and it works out and bills you at the end of the day. Doesn’t need an app or a powered up phone.

That’s to guarantee you have to try plugging the USB cable in in all four available orientations before it fits.
