- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 1 day ago:
yeah. I just don't recommend Mozilla anymore. Do some searches online about the recent developments about Mozilla, "AI" and also bought an ad company: https://blog.mozilla.org/en/advertising/mozilla-anonym-raising-the-bar-for-privacy-preserving-digital-advertising/ (ps this is a marketing blog article of course.. read between the lines)
Look.. I will not use FF anymore. Hence I use a fork instead.

That being said. Do we want to go back to 30 windows? I don't think so.
Floorp has additional features that keep you managed. Like Workspaces. And also you can group tabs. Or even use colored tabs.

Try floorp and use workspaces or colored tabs
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 2 days ago:
They use to be new window (not like a pop up, but a new window). Today every new page or "new window" becomes a new tab.
And before you know it, you have dozens open. But no way you use to have 30 different windows open, since that would drive you crazy with alt+tab.
So the bar is low and it's easy to keep them open as well. So people will.

ow so what I have is most likely an active adapter..? nobody knows. Then hopefully also my video card support DP++ and then I need to buy a passive adapter, I'm I correct?

I also don't get it.. Just 1 DP port is sufficient for me.. And before people are saying.. just use a DP to HDMI adapter.. Well, I tried.. And it doesn't work either for some reason.. I still can not get 4k 120Hz.

That isn't an option now with my htpc (home theater pc) connected to my TV.

- Comment on Pornhub says UK visitors down 77% since age checks came in 4 weeks ago:
Did you read me message above? You just don't want age verification to begin with.
Your reaction to your government should be: I will not comply. I will not follow this path.
And basically you search for other workarounds or resistance, rather then trying to work with them to a "solution" that doesn't exists.
You can't have privacy and id verification. You can't never have both. It's either one or the other.
If you think it can be done, well done, this is exactly what they want you to be believe. And thinking it's OK what is going on.
- Comment on Pornhub says UK visitors down 77% since age checks came in 4 weeks ago:
@JohnEdwa also you do understand that you are basically giving all the power to this random individual business that does the ID checks, right?
It's like the current banking system. No thanks.
That means your website can just be rejected by the ID partner and voila you got blocked from the internet. Maybe your website is discussing something that the government doesn't like?
Whatever it is, you basically sell your soul to this ID verification company. And they can reject you from any website in the future for any random reason. And like I said, websites can be rejected as wellr fom this system (it goes both ways).
- Comment on Pornhub says UK visitors down 77% since age checks came in 4 weeks ago:
Exactly. I still don't understand why people still think it's a good idea.
Just no! No Id check. No "age verification". No "single company" or centralized bs. No. No. No.
- Comment on Pornhub says UK visitors down 77% since age checks came in 4 weeks ago:
Age check is very harming for your privacy. The whole EU want to go into this direction and it worries me a lot.
Just not pornhub but also social media sites etc. The reason why I don't like it at all is that you once again need to share data with parties you don't want to give them data. Especially not your passport.
It's a matter of time before data will be leaked online after a random data breach.

Not fully true. Yes a lot of games run on Windows.. But a lot of them also run on Linux, in some cases even Native, in other cases using Wine/Proton from Valve. See: https://www.protondb.com/
A lot of online pvp games do work under Linux as well. But then again.. AAA games are the most problematic.. because they just stuck, and get ignored by the devs/publishers. I'm looking at you EA!
- Comment on Why would I buy this? 5 weeks ago:
What a shame. But to be expected..
- Comment on Why would I buy this? 5 weeks ago:
So in theory.. you can not even play single-player campaign because of kernel level anti-cheat + internet connection. Even if Wine/Proton would allow you to start the game.
- Comment on Why would I buy this? 5 weeks ago:
You are missing the most important issue. It only runs on Windows!

Clearly some predefined templates involved.
And most likely a underpaid and overworked employee living in the basement of his mother's house, working 10 hours 7 days per week.

These are just predefined responses with maybe some Ai.
Just go away from TikTok.

Counties? Nah, maybe a small village at most. If everybody in that village is working for a Ai start up that is. 😅
