Well, you could use your own ethics… maybe?

“AI toy company founder Paul Clarke said the industry was “crying out” for regulation”
Well, you could use your own ethics… maybe?
This is a nice idea, but capitalism pretty much forces a race to the bottom when it comes to ethics. If you want to make money you have to give up ethics, unless an independent third party regulates.
I mean… we all agree it’s ghosts, right?
Or witches?

That’s why people warn about “safeguards”. You tell a person not to do a thing, they might inadvertently do the thing accidentally.
AI mimics the way people talk. It seems likely for it to reproduce that behavior.
Don’t use tech you don’t understand, and don’t trust it either. Don’t believe in cure alls. Belief in science, skeptically.

I broadly agree… But I’m doing it using a pile of tech I only vaguely comprehend.

When 1s and 0s need to be transferred to another 1 and 0 machine then 1s and 0s are transferred to determine how to transfer those 1s and 0s.
What’s the confusion? It’s clearly very simple!
1s and 0s are also used to determine how to display those other 1s and 0s and even how you can interact with the 1s and 0s.
I don’t understand how it can be so difficult for people to comprehend. Can they not count to 1?
