I did it by eye. I made it from the outer ring of a bearing (which is why my blade is 5 mm thick). I cut it in half, heated up one half, and forged it into a straight flat bar. Then I cut out the shape using an angle grinder (the teeth on the spine of the blade and fitted the shape for the handle) and sharpened the blade on a bench grinder. I made the holes in the blade using a drill press.
Wow well done! Just finished all three games in anticipation of the launch of Metro 2039 in February!
That’s some damn fine work. Someday I’d like to do the same to make my perfect kitchen knife.

Great game. I never finished it though. I desperately need to replay it.
I’ve only just started playing it for the first time after years of it sitting in my steam account. It’s been fun so far!
2033 and last light are excellent but id skip exodus if I were you.
Hm. I found the first game (original release+ Rangermode DLC, not the “redux” (?) version) the best, Exodus (third game) pretty good (esp. if you wait for a discount), and the middle game (Last Light) somewhat mediocre. So I would be more inclined to apply the skipping to the second game instead of the last one (if skipping exactly one of three; the original first in Rangermode still remains the very best of the franchise).

That was a fun user profile to scroll through and makes me want to go back to practising knife sharpening with a grindstone again instead of just using cheap easy knife sharpeners
