We’re not all American

Exactly, I can’t believe people want to make everything political all the time. His desire to kill every human on earth shouldn’t even be important. Like separate the art from the artist, jeez

You should try Vintage Story! I find it much more like an adult oriented Minecraft with a lot more depth in terms of tools and processes. You end up with a really pretty base as you purpose-build things like a tannery, blacksmith, store-house, etc.

Oh right. I think I got the names mixed up since I had been commenting on Mamdani earlier. Tbf I’m not American so it’s a bit surprising that I even know the name of an American city’s mayor at all lol
- Comment on Groceries are expensive and they're too busy talking about culture war 2 weeks ago:
On the surface the article comes off as rather neutral in tone but the headline, the line about “raising eyebrows”, and really just the existence of this article at all is so standard for “left” leaning news corporations. Mamdani’s response didn’t “raise eyebrows” from anyone except the fox viewers who would have already been fired up before the camera even started rolling and all this article is doing is validating them.
It’s always the same thing, politicians on the right are allowed to say or do anything they want freely without any scrutiny and those who are left of centre are held under a microscope.
As a (Godwin’s Law proving) example: imagine if what Mamdani had said was “I actually think Hitler was a bad person” and then we got articles about that statement raising eyebrows. It wouldn’t be false but the only people it’d be referring to would be Nazis and why the fuck would you validate or acknowledge their opinions?
- Comment on Groceries are expensive and they're too busy talking about culture war 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, I mostly just want to hear the actual rationality behind the claim given it goes so against everything I’ve seen about him. I genuinely can’t even think of something he’s done that could be stretched to paint him as a Zionist
- Comment on Groceries are expensive and they're too busy talking about culture war 2 weeks ago:
I’m not from New York nor the US even so forgive me if I’m not up to date but how is Mandani Zionist? Isn’t he the guy the media got worked up about saying he’d arrest Netanyahou if he came to New York?

the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan, has raised eyebrows after asking Fox News’ Jesse Watters if he is circumcised during a combative prime-time interview.
Man fuck right off, that wasn’t at all a weird question to ask in response to a fucking weird obsession Jesse has with children’s “dingilings”

It’s not a conspiracy theory, a significant number of corporations hire psychologists nowadays to make you spend more. It’s not even a secret and KS well documented. Like even just grocery stores play specially chosen music that make you spend more:

I kind of get it since they need funding to escape Google’s boot and AI is a money printing machine at the moment but it all seems shortsighted and poorly done. If they added AI features slowly and with caution I’d be happier but they’re buying into the “GAMBLE IT ALL ON POORLY CONCEIVED AI FEATURES NOBODY ASKED FOR” hype train which is just going to be a disaster
I’ve been pretty happy with the Zen Browser fork of Firefox (minus the fact that the lead dev seems to be a bit of an opinionated dick but it works well anyway)

Similar to IRL Canadians. If you’re anywhere between Montréal and Windsor then I don’t understand why you’d suffer an airport when the train is just a vastly nicer experience
