  Brits need to chill the fuck out when it comes to Eurovision. It’s a contest where you’re judged by the community, so when you’re routinely dicks to your neighbours you’re gonna lose… a lot. It has very little to do with the act on stage.

      They have a sizeable group of supporters in lots of European countries that will vote on them and no one else no matter what. There’s also a large group that will not vote on them no matter what, but group splits the vote between all the other contestants. So in general, Israel benefits from the polarisation.

      The UK/bbc is also one of the major funders so it gets an automatic place in the final. So merit is not nessassery in the opening.

      Afghanistan and Iraq? Already dominating music industry? Being rubbish at languages because they all speak ours? Even in the EU, we were “Extrawurst” all the time. Denominating finance (partly with dark money).

      Even before Brexit, we made ourselves unpopular.

    Yeah, I think the problem isn’t always our entries. Look Mum No Computer was fun and kind of smart and cheeky. Kraftwerk inspired. It should have done better.

    Sam Ryder is so exceptional the anti-British settlement feel away. His character and voice talent shines so bright.

      He was not a good fit for that kind of politically charged event. Moreover I doubt he will ever become mainstream or moving large crowds. And again, I’ve been following him for years, have had to cross borders to see him play live.
