  In all the jobs I’ve had my entire career, my teammates always invited me to have lunch with them when I was new. I guess I was lucky to have coworkers who made sure new hires aren’t left out. Obviously if you actually prefer to eat alone, people should respect that.

    I have been at my job for 10 years and eat alone 90% of the time. I spend 40+hrs a week with these people, I just want silence and food for 30 minutes.
