Medical ethics can take a shit for all I care.
Ethics break down when a person’s life is on the line! And what do they have to lose? Either the treatment works or the person dies from cancer. It’s a special case and should be treated as such.
Give them a chance to live, a chance they would otherwise not have.
And what do they have to lose?
Quality of life, it’s more complicated than just live or die, regardless of whether you think the patients should be able to choose for themselves or not.
Quality of life? For the two months a person has to live?
They have a deadline with cancer… You know that right?
I don’t know if you ever had to watch someone die from cancer but there is no quality of life. It takes absolutely everything and in the end you have nothing. Not even your dignity.

Is there a reason for the downvotes? This is a potential cancer treatment that is being tested at the moment. Is it the changes I made to make this less clickbaity?

Very strange indeed. I wonder if Kurzgesagt has done something to upset the crowds? I haven’t watched any of their stuff in a year or two, but the ones I did watch were excellent and I thought they were well liked and popular. And accurate. And willing to correct their mistakes.
Maybe I’ve missed something.

IIRC it was a lack of transparency regarding funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, some videos with very dubious science behind them presented as fact, and I believe one case of essentially plagiarism from another creator (there was at least some dispute).
They did since come out and apologized for some of it but the whole drama did sour the channel for some people.

IIRC there was an expose a long time back that they were on Bill and Melinda Gates foundation’s payroll to push their agenda in their videos.

Every Kurzgesagt video I’ve ever posted has gotten this reaction. Some people seem to feel that they have sold out, and yes adamantly hate the click-baity titles.
It’s a common issue on the internet where people refuse to deal with nuance and subtlety, preferring instead to simply “like” or “dislike” - I would even go so far as to guess, with many such votes having been offered without first having watched the video.
It is still an option to simply continue scrolling down without voting on something… but no, they feel like their opinions must be heard, regardless of how unqualified (not having watched it) or unthinkingly offered. In short, this place is still social media, after all.
