Excellent! That’s my one gripe with MMP. I want to play stardew/balatro on a small handheld darn it!

Does it work with port master?

Nice! Glad to see you are enjoying the device.
We regularly joke that Anbernic will come out sotj new devices every couple of months in every way shape and form factor. Not exactly a bad problem, but they often have issues with quality control. But if you get a refund and new device it usually works out.

Nice we have been talking about the device in the retro gaming corps discord channel. Looks like a lot of fun. If my miyoo mini plus ever dies this will probably be my next handheld.

Phones as well. Each increase in the nand/chips makes phones and ANY consumer electronics that use it much more expensive.
It doesnt help when most devices that we buy are not designed to be repaired.

- Comment on Americans are holding onto devices longer than ever and it's costing the economy 2 weeks ago:
Our devices don’t change all that much to be honest. And the battery degregation is the only real reason to get a new phone. Some companies are even making it easy again to fix phones again.
Plus people can’t afford 1000$ phones full stop.

A very insightful article.

What an interesting premise. Its not my style, but I hope it is good.

You can just go to neocities right now or https://piefed.social/f/smallweb and see it. Its fun!

I saw it back in 2019 on the way to Colorado. It was amazing. I really enjoyed it over there near Salt Lake City. Their libraries were huge and (at the time) fastest internet I ever saw.
We saw the lake a couple of years later and it was scary how much dried up. And there were HUGE dust storms at the time that got a ton of sand and salt in the car. Its really sad to see.

- Comment on Steam Machine is huge for indie development 3 weeks ago:
Its so easy to develop for the steam deck and steam devices. Just FYI it really is just another machine. Theres no “unlocking” or “side loading” or anything. Its just a computer. Thats it!

Yeah its an awesome feature. I really like it.
You can combine peertube subscriptions, Lemmy/piefed communities/mastodon accounts just about anything subscribable to a “feed”. Ex: https://piefed.social/f/fediversevideos
If you have a piefed account it helps with keeping up with multiple like communities.

Its a feed, a piefed specific feature. So its not going to work with lemmy.

Yeah Ive seen those articles too. Yet even new social media like blue sky supports rss without an account. Everything on the fediverse does too. Its fantastic.

Lots of great communities there. And rss is still king ;)
- Comment on Steam Hardware [new Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and VR headset Steam Frame, coming in 2026] 3 weeks ago:
Love it!
- I personally don’t care for the controller, but I will say that if I didnt have a steam deck with the track pads already, I would probably get one.
- The Steam frame looks interesting. Ill keep an eye out. It might be cheaper than a huge big screen. But IDK. VR always feels like a gimmick.
- The Steam machine looks awesome. Ill probably get one. I like PCs that happen to be consoles cause I can rip them apart and upgrade/fix as I please.
I really hope Steam OS comes out for more than just 2 devices though. That would be AWESOME.
Big picture mode is great but certain games + controller + hardware combos still have issues with it. Whereas the steam deck has a fantastic time hooking into things. - Comment on Enshittification 3 weeks ago:
Its working for me right now ;)
But yeah it would be nice.
