Being obese can have the same effect. Would be curious how much weight and alcohol compare for the same risk. Like a BMI of 35 = 5 pints a night or something like that.

It’s easier than that. Dairy cows can get fatty livers during calving if improperly fed.

I could actually see the French claiming it’s MUCH different tasting when the cow gets the fatty liver disease obly from good cognac versus the regular bottom shelf booze
