    You looked up the modified word, look up the root.

    Though it would be helpful if they just displayed the root below the modified. 🙃

    Amen to that. For -ly in English, it’s a reasonably good bet it’s an adverb and will still be something if you lop it off, but in this day and age it seems like you shouldn’t need to. For starters it’s not always as obvious, and it’s an extra pointless click which people used to care about.
