- Comment on President Trump reacts to President Biden’s cancer diagnosis: "I don't feel sorry for him" 2 days ago:
Plenty of countries have laws that fine or otherwise punish people that do not vote, afaik this doesn’t tend to lead to better functioning democracies. I think this is a thing where the carrot works better than the stick.

So if you treat someone with respect you endorse them?

⬜ something that makes him shit himself all the time ⬜ an embarrassing level of dementia ⬜ that it shows Republicans how shit they are ✅ he’s rated as one of the worst presidents to ever live

Thanks, this I meant. And also, let’s hope it ends with enshittification and that it does not lead to hostile corporations sucking the world dry.
- Comment on Mars Bar from the 1990s found during house clearance - shrinkflation in action 3 days ago:
I’d sign for enshittification being the worst thing that happens this century. Considering there are years 73 ahead of us in the century, it might only be the precursor of what will actually be the word of the century.

Even the font weight shrank
- Comment on Trump implemented tariffs illegally, creating over $100 billion of profit for corporations selling foreign products, at the expense of American consumers. Your refund: $0.00 1 week ago:
I disagree, it’s taking the piss by making a billion sound smaller. Because of that, it almost sounds like a parent handing out pocket money to it’s children. Not sure how you call this form of (dark) humor in English though.

- Comment on Amazon thought it would be a good idea to not include subtitles in a film made entirely with sign language. 1 week ago:
I believe Netflix order movies to be understandable to people who are not paying attention. Maybe they have something that is good enough for you, it would save you from having to recap stuff.
- Comment on Capital of Estonia after a visit from Swedish football fans 1 week ago:
I hope the hosting stadium sends the bill, local authorities find the perpetrators and all business get insurance to pay out. Also i hope some researcher shows how much more expensive hosting a football match becomes because of these ‘supporters’, and that these costs are charged beforehand somehow.

Not all investors are in it for the long run. Some just expect a short boost or go short betting on a loss.

I block nsfw instances, but if something comes through, it’s usually blurred because that’s how I like my Lemmy experience. Perhaps the upvotes can show what would be best in this case.

If you post this because you think the ad is inappropriate maybe flag the post as nsfw? Just saying.
