Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed Revelations. I went and finished the main story. The Main Story makes me just feel the need to ask, why are the main games like 13 sequences? Like, i love the long stories but i find these games with only 9 sequences to also be perfectly serviceable. It definitely helped a lot with playing them back to back and feels a lot less like there was a crunch too.
Also from what i understand, Brotherhood and Revelations were smaller games meant to keep up the annual release of the franchise until 3 was finished. I wish they had kept doing that if they insist on the yearly release. Give us some direct sequels that are smaller in size and scope and give the “big” sequel more time in the oven. I can’t help but feel like having one studio dedicated to an individual release so we get one release a year is hurting the games.
I also wanted to mention that i loved the whole segment with Ezio and Altair. Followed by Ezio talking to Desmond. I love that it’s doing all the weird ass time stuff without messing with time travel. Plus i loved Ezios speech to Desmond.
Anyways, i found a way to get ahold of the DLC for this and play it, so i want to do that. I only have a little bit left at this point to 100% though so i think i want to do that first. The main struggle has just been getting 7 Master Assassins. It’s a lot of waiting around here for them to level up. Admittedly if i was going to do this though i should have done it earlier. This one is kind of on me i feel.

I’ve been meaning to ask, are you playing these from steam or from high seas? I’m looking for a reputable high seas source, but struggling.

Why do you sail the high seas? Don’t like DRM on steam, or some other reason?

Don’t like ubisoft currently and all their projects are shit. don’t want to pay them a single cent. Me paying for few decades old game will just result in them churning out no useful story assassin’s creed that i dont care about.

The Ubisoft launcher is a real pain to get working on Linux, at least for me it has been. There’s no official support so it’s all through WINE and such but it can be hit or miss in my expedience.

I ended up just playing from source. I already owned a handful of them from when I was way younger and didn’t know better, and i just scooped up the bundle.
I did initially try to pirate some of them but the repacks for some of the later games just took way too long to download and were way too unstable (and plus I tend to avoid torrenting) that I just decided to buy the like 150$ Bundle and be done with it.
Normally I’d advise fitgirl, but I assume that you already checked there. I admittedly now only pirate things that are a pain in the ass to get ahold of normally so I can’t really advise where to search.
I do wish you luck in your search though. I imagine it’s devalued a lot by me owning most of the games, but I do fully support pirating them

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah fitgirl is not good for AC1 and all three AC2 games. Though good for AC4 and onwards.
