  You can see the Pillars or Hercules on the sides representing the Rock of Gibraltar (now back with Spain) and Ceuta in Africa.

  The center is formed by the shields of 5 kingdoms that formed Spain: Castile, León, Aragon, and Navarre. At the bottom you can see tiny pomegranate fruit representing the kingdom of Granada.

  The motto is “Plus Ultra” (yes, like in My Hero Academia) which means “Further Beyond” in Latin.

    So we’re doing fun with flags? you forgot the center crest of the royal house of bourbon. they rule(d) over spain after the last king of the spanish line of the habsburg died without having an heir. the first bourbon ruler Philip V was the grandchild of louis XIV, the famous “sun king” of france.
