apparently this was an actual recipe from the ww2 time? at least it’s mentioned in this video. watch it btw, it’s hilarious. it’s about why it’s basically impractical to recycle plastic.
If you skipped the sugar and instead added some salt, and a little cheese, this would be lovely meal (p.s. I am British).

Is it just like, bread all the way through? I might actually fucks with that. Cobbler’s only deal breaker for me was the soggy bread/fruit mush
I would just about bet the texture is similar, but maybe more uniform. I think the goal is to make a goopy sweet and tart syrup reduction barel vaguely reminiscent of what a proper fruit pie filling would be like, and then construct a cobbler the usual way.
Damn. People do love eating goop I guess
