My favorite I had to unlearn was washing maching. Pronounced w-or-shing machine. Like “war shing”. Apparently that’s a Duch/Midwest mix.

In Canada these are all normal.
Here’s another one…whenever I go to a coffee shop, I like to order flavors with caramel. Where I’m from in the Midwest (dunno if every Midwest state is the same), it’s pronounced “CAR-ml”. Well I’ve since moved away from the Midwest.
Almost every time I order my drink, the employee will always say “do you mean CARE-uh-mel???”. …Yes…yes that’s what I mean…

No one I’ve ever known on the east coast has called it a “ruff”. Maybe like one person but certainly not widespread
