If I were a sysadmin at your school there are two things I’m potentially seeing:
it’s you since you logged into your account, making the use of Tor pointless. You have been identified. So I’d chuckle.
somebody stole your credentials and I need to lock down your account.
…People use TOR for normal browsing?
I can see this being possible if you’re trying to access the western world from an eastern country
My work email doesn’t work from my 3DS browser
Have you tried complaining to the hottest tech support employee at your company?

Looks like conditional access policies working as intended tbh.
My dude. Just use Firefox for school then and use Tor for whatever it is you do. It will be okay.

You have the right the browse sites anonymously, the school has a right to restrict access to where you access the mailboxes that they own on their system.
There’s nothing wrong or infuriating about that. And as another poster said, since Tor is designed to be anonymous, what good does it do you using an authenticated account? All it looks like from the schools POV is that your credentials were compromised and attempting to be used by a 3rd party since it can from Tor.
