    That isn’t Mercator, then the longitude lines would be parallel and not converge at the pole like that. Greenland really is massive, even without the Mercator distortion.

    Yeah, but if you rename Greenland to Epstien Island, suddenly the US has never been there, is uninterested in it, and doesn’t have any knowledge of it. On the other hand they might just react it entirely.
