  Nice. My plan is to use this blade until the number of uses matches the Personna GEM Diamond Edge that I’ve been using, then compare them. The GEM is in a sweet spot right now, with yesterday’s shave being impossibly close.

  My tub of GTB is nearing the home stretch. I might use it until it’s gone, but something tells me I’ll get bored of it before that happens.

    For some reason, at this time of year, every soap I have looks like something I haven’t used in a long time and need to revisit. I have about 5 soaps ready to be killed but can’t bring myself to concentrate on them.

  Cookies, tobacco, vanilla, spices, and Christmas tree. Just a lovely progression of scents with which to start to my day.

  Apparently, Personna Platinum Chrome blades are my favorites in this razor. I bought a 100 pack off Amazon early in my wetshaving days and assumed that they were Lab Blue blades because of the packaging. If I’d taken the time to look more closely at the blades, I may have noticed that something was amiss. Probably not though. Thanks @walden@wetshav.ing for helping me to see the light.

    Pretty exciting, as it gives me an excuse to try another blade combo in my Legacy. I have one record of using a Platinum Chrome in the Legacy, but I need to pump those numbers up.

  Adventus Day 8

  Today’s soap is MSC’s Vintage Spice. Man,this thing took some water and made tons of lather. Off the sample, the scent was light but as I was working it,the scent popped up quite nicely. I paired it with CFG’s Ghost Town Barber aftershave (which has a surprising amount of menthol in it). The result was a very comfortable shave.

  I also got a bottle of Lucky Tiger aftershave in today’s satchel.

  Worked today, drove home in a blizzard, and cleaned some snow. Long day, but got this razor in the mail today and opted for the R plate. Felt exceptionally smooth and comfortable and had my lather dialed. Busy but rewarding day. Currently getting ready to cook some steaks up. Excited to give the Windsor some more reps.
