Great shave this morning, super close results with no irritation.
Ubrique might be my scent of the year for 2025. It’s probably not for everyone, especially those that don’t like leather, but I really enjoy it.

My first time using Koa Mahina, and I think my first time using Moon Soaps as well. Off the puck I was only getting coconut in the soap, but after lathering it up a lot more of the woody sandalwood and teakwood came through. It combined really nicely with Cubebe.

Cookies, tobacco, vanilla, spices, and Christmas tree. Just a lovely progression of scents with which to start to my day.
Apparently, Personna Platinum Chrome blades are my favorites in this razor. I bought a 100 pack off Amazon early in my wetshaving days and assumed that they were Lab Blue blades because of the packaging. If I’d taken the time to look more closely at the blades, I may have noticed that something was amiss. Probably not though. Thanks @walden@wetshav.ing for helping me to see the light.

Tried out the max setting on the Horizon this morning. Close shave, but not the most comfortable. I think after using this razor for a bit I’m realizing that the wide head shape doesn’t work super well for me, especially underneath my jawline.
Crangere, as always, was a lovely scent to start the day with.

I dropped the Horizon down to setting 1 this morning, which is the mildest setting. This gives it pretty negative blade exposure, and necessitated a steeper angle with the razor to get a good shave.
Very comfortable shave though once the angle was right. It was a definite decrease in efficiency, but the result is still a very close shave.

I’ve realized recently (after having some smushes returned to me) that the particular wax paper I used for those smushes is not great for the task.

Almost a flawless shave on setting 6 with the Horizon, but I nicked myself ATG right at the end. I’m really enjoying this razor. Nice weight in the hand, and the adjustable mechanism is very unique.

First shave with the passaround Horizon went exceedingly well. Super smooth shave on setting 4 with no nicks or irritation. Also my first time using an AC razor. The width of the head was a little odd at first, but I adjusted pretty quickly. Great shave all around.
Lampasas is one of the scents Stirling released for Black Friday this year. It’s like a toned-down Texas on Fire, with a bit more woodiness and sage underneath. The notes they give it are Texas cedarwood oil, sweetgrass, sage, and mesquite smoke. I very much enjoy the scent – just the right amount of smoke for me.
