  What is truly incredible is how shit Jeeps are, how expensive they are, how Stellantis tries so hard to make them worse …and people still buy them. I blame childhood religious indoctrination.

    Modern Jeeps are in that same space as GMC Hummers or absurdly overbuild pickup trucks. They are performative items to give the impression of being all about being manly and offroading while in reality just being overpriced, yet somehow less comfortable luxury cars.

    They were pretty good up till about 1998, then it has just slowly been going wrong since.
