Just read the series recently. Neuromancer was the best installment. Very Matrix.

If you haven’t read it you really should

It was good but I was honestly a little bit underwhelmed by it and a little disappointed how heavily the ideas in the book quickly became tropes of the entire genre instead of the genre being more creative.
Still a very good book and a worth a read, but I was just a lot less impressed than I had hoped to be. The ideas were interesting, but they seem a little old fashioned now, especially.

You must realize that’s not the fault of the originating work, though… 🙇🏼♂️
Right?

What surprised me most about it was how much it takes from detective noir books from decades prior. It reads a lot like a Raymond Chandler novel.

The sequels are decent too. Maybe not as good as the first but enjoyable. Count Zero has a story about the voodoo deities in cyberspace that was an interesting bit.

Honestly after I read Neuromancer I just sat down and read all his books. All were interesting, he even accidentally created steampunk

Aw shucks- like an Amazon series? It should really be a standalone film, the book literally reads like an action movie
