More AI shilling. The central problem of the US grid being a mess is a reasonable concern, but not because of the AI speculative bubble. The idea that the US grid needs to be reworked so that AI companies can easily get their data centres built is nonsense.
AI experts return from China stunned: The U.S. grid is so weak, the race may already be over

This is the oldest news, I’ve been hearing about this for 20 years. China built its network with security in mind. The war has never been winnable.

Well, “the market” has failed, but it’ll obviously use this as an excuse to further remove regulations, especially in regards to running old power plants fueled by coal and other fossil fuels

No shit. We built our economy to get as much as possible from as little as possible. Companies have no incentive to lay proper groundwork if it isnt profitable for them in the short term. Future-proofing is a term that means “wasting money on something that may not happen.”
Our economy will never win. We will never be ahead in anything, because to our capitalist pigs in power, being ahead means losing.
