I hate everything about chewing gum. The sound of people chewing gum annoys the hell out of me, and seeing it littered on the floor is equally disgusting.

I would say waste of money, but it’s good for the short run because it’ll feel clean for abit until people just start throwing it on the floor or sticking it on benches again

It’s nothing. 1.2m divided by 50 councils is 24000 each, i.e. will buy one high pressure hose and 1 near minimum-wage job per council. Comparably, I think the NHS costs £25m per day or something

25 millipounds?

It’s a yearly grant, and it’s also used to buy better cleaning equipment so will have a longer-lasting impact. It’s also £1m which is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Honestly this is such a waste of money. Like why are you spending money on this while making disabled people homeless??

Does anyone here throw their chewing gum on the ground? Maybe I’m a bit of a clean-shirt but I either wait until I find a bin or just swallow the gum. I consider throwing gum on the floor the same as littering anything else personally.
