    I may be missing something, why? Is it because the story came from JKR or is there another reason? I can’t say for sure but I am guessing the cast and crew don’t think the same way she does.

      Rowling still gets paid for the IP and likely gets some sort of kickback on its success.

      I understand the appeal of a children’s fantasy set in a wizard world, but until it’s financially detached from Rowling, it’ll continue to fund her hatred.

  Gripes about that cunt author aside, what’s with the obsession with telling this same story over and over and over? HP is already a book series, 8 part movie series plus shitty spinoffs, a huge video game, a play, and a theme park. Can we please tell a new story? We’ve had a 20 yr run of HP crap, let’s pick something new already!

    10 more years of the same story, ugh.

    The series, which will be developed over 10 years, will be a “faithful adaptation” of the successful book series from author and executive producer J.K. Rowling. The series is slated to premiere on Max sometime in 2026.

      So they’re agreeing that the last set of 8 movies wasn’t a “faithful adaptation”?

      I mean, they skipped lots of stuff from the books, so maybe this’ll fill that in? But at the same point, we’ve been through this already, who is going to care to rehash it all? Find a new story!
