TIL about Jane Remover and the Dariacore music genre: Dariacore is characterised by sped up and pitch-shifted samples from pop music and other popular media, breakbeats, and Jersey club influence…The genre was described by Raphael Helfand of The Fader as “an entire genre in and of itself, taking hyperpop’s silliest tendencies to their logical conclusions”.
Not really my cuppa, but I love discovering new music scenes.🙂
I would have thought Dariacore is music inspired by the cartoon Daria.

retro tv review
Superman cartoon series 1941. Plex.
What a strange show, it is of it’s time, heavily influenced by live theatre.
Superman is dressed as a circus artist. He has a fanfare and spotlight. The ringmaster introduces him.
The artistic style is art deco and has that strange un natural look. You can see Superman is a toon and lives in toon land with toon physics.
There is a nod to screwball comedy with the sassy female co-star in Lois Lane.
And story is influenced by contemporary politics as well as science fiction like Buck Rogers and Metropolis.

if I could find the fucking labels on mine i might be able to reset them …argh . I have portable heaters I own and oodies but using household efficient heaters would be nice
