For those who did a search only to get back pages of less-than-useless SEO slop that just recites the number line, here is something that better describes some of the grammatical insanity.
also, czterydzieści cztery is imo one of the less pronounceable words (well, two of them) in Polish.
I keep forgetting how awful the internet is without ad blockers…

I’d do the same thing if my country was invaded every few decades.
Some part of it is because we use to have a dual for in language (as in between single and plural). The rest is pure sadism as far as I can tell from my years in Polish educational system.

It’s my favorite slavic language. I wish it wasn’t so goddamn complicated so I can learn it.
