According to Wikipedia these things were nearly a foot and half long and were considered an apex predator before they went extinct! I wonder what it would have tasted like grilled?

Throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you’ve got a stew going!

Fun fact for anyone who is interested, anomolacaris got its name before it had been fully reconstructed. The only thing they had was one of those curly appendages at the front, and they thought it must have been a shrimp, when in fact it was the mouth part of a much larger, much stranger animal.

It’s actually been misidentified three separate times, they kept finding different parts of this animal in isolation and classifying them as new species. The mouth was mistaken for a jellyfish, and the body was mistaken for a sea sponge.
