Circumhorizontal Arc is fine for it's accuracy, and Fire Rainbow is a whole lot more catchy. I mean, a Pineapple is neither Pine, nor Apple, and we're ok with that.

They’re white light being separated into its wavelengths by passing though water, sounds like a rainbow to me

Not made by rain in this case though. It’s more like Sun Dogs. Icebows?

I think I have only seen one, once and I stood in the middle of a busy sidewalk looking up trying to figure out if anyone else saw the giant iridescent shifting rainbow in the sky.

You could only see it where the clouds were and they were so thin it felt like staring at the sun.

I definitely get the term fire rainbow. Shame its so rare. Really cool.

How are they not rainbows? Are they not scattering sunlight into a range of colors?
