I enjoyed him back in the day as an announcer. Funny at times and very knowledgeable, one of the best before Chuck and Shaq.
A great player that knows how it feels when your body betrays you. Sucks that is ultimately what got him.

Oh man I didn’t know he was battling cancer. His broadcasts are pretty cool to listen to. Gonna miss his voice on the sidelines.

Actually talked at length with Bill at a Ratdog show in Chicago around 2007. And had him block my view at the Fox in Oakland a couple of times. Fare thee well Big Red ❤️
