Iâd like to be one of those people who feels compelled to buy a book every time they go into a book store, but theyâre like $20 for even a basic paperback. I donât want to drop that much every time I go look at books

And I can read them in the dark easier. The kids still sleep in our room so I canât really use a light for regular books

I used to do that but the cost of books now are pretty high so Iâve stopped buying them.

Depending on how voracious a reader you are, Kindle Unlimited may be worth investigating. I go through about 4 books a week, so the service ($14/mo) must have saved me about $1,000 by now.

Unfortunately I donât read as much as Iâd like, which is part of it. I get my ebooks from âotherâ parts of the internet and thatâs what I went to check.
Iâm reading The Crying Lot of 49 and my version has some weird formatting. I wanted to check if it was just an eBook thing or a deliberate stylistic choice. Turns out it was just a weird eBook formatting thing

Always check Big W first.

I used to work at a big w and when they have a book itâs always cheap. Especially kidâs books. I feel bad for independent toy stores because itâs so hard to compete with the big department stores there

Theyâre free at the library :)

I get them there when I can but Iâm too slow a reader at the moment to not need a couple of renewals to get through a book
