Your annual leave is always yours, itâs banked and money owed to you. Sick leave isnât paid out though so always always use 100% of it when leaving a company.

I got paid all my leave. I thought I wouldnât get it because I was terminated, but itâs all there. Trying to keep my leave was one of the main reasons I was trying to make my old job work, and I thought it would be a loss Iâd just have to eat moving into the new role.
But I got it. Iâm going to hold onto it because I probably wonât get paid over Christmas, so I can hold onto the leave pay Iâd have to use then anyway.
Maybe you always get your leave, because youâve technically already earned it. I thought it didnât get paid out if you got terminated

Just curious but do you get redundancy pay on this case as well?
tombruzzo@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
No, this wasnât a redundancy. This was a performance based termination

Doesnât matter the reason for your termination, you always get your leave paid out. Did they ask you not to work out your notice period? Because then you should get that paid out too on top of leave, depends on why you were terminated though.

Yeah, I knew I was at least getting two weeks pay. Iâll be checking the fair work website but initial vibes are I got everything I was entitled to
