M137@lemmy.world 3 days agoJust because OOP is American doesn’t mean that “most people” are Americans… The US is about 4% of the global population. “Most people” is always global since you’re referring to everyone on the planet, you could say “most people there get fat” though.

I don’t think there’s a lot of, say, people in India posting this about a woman named Ashley. I think assuming someone called Ashley is American is a pretty safe bet. Not a guarantee, but a safe bet.
And its not like most European countries aren’t getting fatter, just not as fast as the US.

Yup, it could be the UK, but statistically, the US would be the better bet, just based on population differences.
