I got a 30 day suspension from /r/news for calling Antifa “a violent organization”. Got down voted to hell and called a Nazi sympathizer… I’ve only ever voted Democrat.
How I unpopularly say it “Kyle Rittenhouse is a dumb sack of shit that did us a favor and took out 3 other even worse sacks of shit”. He didn’t go to prison because he accidentally did society a favor, but a lot of people are scared to admit that.
And antifa can be violent, though it’s not really an organization. Wikipedia describes it as a movement. And given the fact that fascists have ruined every country where they took power, violence against them is wholly justified.
Antifa is a politically diverse group, only defined by being opposed to fascism, as sane people should be. If you were to ask 2 antifascists about how society should be run, you’d likely get 2 different answers. Same as for any group not defined by support for a political ideology.
Big brain time… maybe trading one form of violent politics for another form of violent politics isn’t the answer, but I get why both Nazis and Antifa wouldn’t want to listen to Ghandi and MLKs message.
Didn’t know not cowardly falling in line with a bunch of loser trust fund babies pretending like they know how to run a country would be considered “simping for Nazis”. I have yet to hear an intelligent argument come from Antifas rioting because they have the emotional and mental capacity of two year old on crack.
The fact that your characterization of anti-fascists is pulled straight from Tucker Carlson’s ass and in no way based in reality, yeah, you’re not a Democrat and you’re not a good troll either.

Is Antifa an actual organization? I thought it was kind of an ad hoc moniker.
spacecadet@lemm.ee 1 year ago
In guess they have “leaders” in the same way Anonymous has “leaders”. Just like whoever claims it that week

So not at all, got it

I pointed out that Kyle Rittenhouse had multiple people trying to kill him, and was actively running away from all three people he shot.
That went well.

Yeah it’s not like decades of school shooter drills ingrained the idea that you attack a random guy waving a gun or anything …
Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 1 year ago
First, this wasn’t in a school. Second, I don’t think attacking the gunman while unarmed is part of those drills.

But their idealized version of political control is just fascism by a different group of ultra wealthy people
Dkarma@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Lol you don’t know a thing about antifa…tell me what’s their idealized version of political control again?? Lmfao.

I have a friend who hangs out with ANTIFA to punch Nazis. He does it for the symbolism, makes him feel like a hero when he is violent. No thanks.
Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Sounds like a cool friend.
Dkarma@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Yeah let make punching Nazis great again. Not cuz we disagree but because they’re already coming to punch us.
snek@lemmy.world 1 year ago
He is a cool guy but what the fuck. Senselesd traumatizing violence and nothing really changes.

Second sentence is a clear lie if the first sentence is true. Can’t be both a Nazi simp and a Democrat.
